If you're going to be a selfish jerk and not even direct the face off to the D, you aren't going to get into the offensive zone.

simple as that. quit being douchebags, quit skating in circles and getting checked and turning it over.

you aren't that good and i've had it. you will probably get more goals by passing it to the point and cleaning up the slapshot than you will dancing around the zone.

i'm not asking for the puck all the time but if i'm clearing the crease, grabbing the puck and passing it to you and you can't give me a SOG after like 1 period, i'm taking a nap in the offensive zone.

Coming from a winger that uses the point I hear ya. I even get frustrated when my teammates don't use the defenseman because its so difficult to score on clean shots in this game so you have to use the guys back on the point for deflections and rebounds, but some people don't seem to realize that.

Broman Borque, even though it is true what you are saying, a true player will always find a way to overcome my man. Hey, R1+Right Analog Stick up will flip it up EVERY time. Use that in every game and make the forwards either start using their R2 button or quit (well, on PS 3). Shoot, you just have to remember, YOU are the guy that sets the tone for the team. YOU are the man. If your mates refuse to play as a team, then , get your grades whilst teaching them a lesson in how to play some real hockey, Yo. Easier said than done, I know, but, why punish yourself for others selfishness?

EA should really have a 1 period quit zone, though. Why should you be forced to HAVE to deal with BS like this?

PS- The real problem is, most FWDS are selfish as fk glory boys who will not even pass to another guy if it means them not getting a goal. There are really sweet, smart FWDS out there though that actually realize that the true key to victory and great grades is to use all of your mates. Not many, especially in OTP, but, they are there.

I don't know why people don't use headphones more often and talk to each other, even if you don't know them. It's actually fun to do that.

I used to talk to people in other games. I refuse, now. It took a couple 14 year olds whining in my ear and talking crap to people that I had enough. I refuse to play NHL10 online w/o friends.

I played a game last night with 4 other guys as a dman. The 3 forwards would just circle behind the net trying for the wrap arounds and cheeser goals. The other dman, after the 1st period where it was passed to us zero times, started skating end to end just to get shots. The other team finally went ahead of us with about 1 min left and everybody on my team quit. hahaha

Other team was a couple cheesers, but they were good on the breakaways when we crashed the net looking for rebounds and gave up the puck.
When I play with forwards who don't pass, I tend to forget to play defense the 2nd half of the game.

I agree, there needs to be a 1st period quit zone that would allow you to quit after the first period, because honestly sometimes people's PS3's freeze or lose connection. After that though, if you quit you should be forced to watch the rest of the game and take the W or L depending on what happens. If you quit and pull the plug, you should get a warning from EA that doing that is bad and if it continues you will be locked out of online play also you should not be allowed back online for a day.

Seriously it is a game, what does it matter if you win or lose, I'm just there to have some fun.

Sounds like typical drop-in hockey to me.
