The game plays a far better game of realistic hockey this year especially on the hardcore style setting.
The game is much smoother and the animations are much improved. I agree that anything you see is subtle but it is noticeable enough to where the improvements are seen. The puck physics and tipped pucks are sweet looking. Also, getting tripped and the ability to shoot from your knees is a sweet addition.

I also think that the jerseys, especially the Wings, look much sharper and some of the faces are much better looking....Cannot wait til the 15th....

At 5:00 Crosby=Turtle. Very Nice!!

I notice during pre-game it said Crosby was hurt and needed more attention, yet he played anyways. Will a player's skills suffer if he plays hurt?

Not only skill but most definitely the chance of more serious and long lasting injury (i.e. out for the series). You are given the choice to either play the player or sit them.

That's a cool addition. Especially come playoff time when guys play through injuries.

Re: NHL Demo Video I have put together

The Crosby and Franzen goals looked like they were scored from about the same spot and beat the goalie the same way. It seems to me the goalies are coming out and challenging too far and seem to lose postion as a result. The next Detroit goal after Franzens seemed to kind of prove that as Fluery made the initial save, but was too far out to possibly stop the player there for the rebound.

So now that goalies are more human and can make mistakes we're going to complain about goalie positioning? C'mon savoie.
