AlTito's NHL 14 Sliders

Hi again everyone!

These are the sliders I use right now in NHL 14. They give a good mix of fun and realism.

I will probably make some tweaks while I continue playing and every of these changes will be shown in this post.

Hope you will enjoy them. Feel free to add comments, questions or feedbacks, it's always appreciated. Have fun!

Here's a blog explaining all my slider settings: http://www.operationsports.com/Al_Ti...t-explanation/

Note: Be careful if you use Play Now as there is a bug, period lengths don't save correctly in the rules section, period length will always reset to 5 minutes in Play Now mode. So, you will have to set it in the pre-game menu before every game.

Loved your sliders last year, and although I eventually gave up on the game, your work made it the best it could be. I'll give you some impressions in a bit.

Thanks for the feedback. Like I said, these are a work in progress, so there will probably be some adjustments made in the next few days. You may try them again with both hitting power sliders at 0 and see if it's better for you.

Re: AlTito's NHL 14 Sliders

Changes I made:

Attribute Slider to 3:
Was seeing the "lower" end players score too much and the stars not doing anything. Put down to 3, I saw more of the stars score.

Aggression: 5
At 5, I saw more hits by the CPU. I only out hit the CPU 20-18. With the original Aggression at 3, I was out hitting the CPU 8-0 end of the first period.

AI Learning:
I believe I put this at 3 as well. Last year, I felt this was also a "boost" to the CPU.

I'm thinking that the sliders seem to have more affect this year. Even with hitting power at 0, I'm still laying out players. Last year, hitting power at 0 created more of a "bump".
