Does nobody play on Superstar?

Seems like no one makes superstar sliders. Do you guys still lose games on all star?

I play on Super Star.

I hate some of the quirks you have to deal with, but it`s the only way to get a decent challenge.

Re: Does nobody play on Superstar?

I started my BAGM using DJ's sliders for all star but as it wore on i was winning to much so i bumped it up to superstar and moved the poke check to 2.

Superstar is ok, i am winning on the level but its the way the game plays sometimes thats just disgusts me, the speed difference fome just going from all star to superstar is quite frankly ridiculous. Guys say there is no speed boost for the cpu and thats fair enough, so they say the cpu can hustle better than the user which to me is pretty hard for the user considering the hustle button is the same as the direction stick which means to keep up with the cpu on superstar you really need to continuously be pressing hustle which in my opinion isn't realistic.

Since going on to superstar my record is something like 5-1-1 but even though i am winning there is still a lot of things i hate about superstar. Namely

- Boardplay - The cpu has the ability to snatch the puck without delay or having to dig for it, it makes dump and chase a bit of a chore. Its like all star you win 75% of the board battles but on superstar the cpu wins 75%. It just seems to me there is no balance in between the two levels. The cpu seems to have this suction feeling on superstar, they can pin you to the boards with ease.

- cpu passing - Not only is it well known about the cpu passing accuracy on all levels but i have noticed a massive difference in the speed the cpu zips the puck around on superstar. If you use the same sliders on all star and superstar the only real difference is the cpu should be making smarter plays more often, not suddenly get faster in every facet of the game.

- Hustle - I was informed in realmk's slider thread that it isn't a speed boost the cpu gets on superstar but in fact its the ability to hustle better which with the positioning of the hustle button makes it really hard for the user to be effective with the use of hustle, on all star is fine because you dont have to use hustle as much but on superstar hustle is essential. I think it needs to be toned down on superstar for the cpu and i would prefer a different button for it.

edit

- Fatigue effect and recovery - The cpu has an ability to outskate the user on superstar even when its lines are in the red and the user players are fresh, I have seen this far too many times so nobody can tell me it doesn't happen, its got **** all to do with hustle either. The cpu just hardly gets tired and if it does you never see them out on their arses like the user, barely being able to skate and making mistakes left and right. It just never happens because as said even when in the red they dont look tired hell they dont struggle to keep up.

Something like 2k had with the right anologue the stick/poke check and hustle R1. I just dont like having to press L3 as it doesnt feel comfortable to me.

Have U tried AI learning slider 0? That could help to "cheating" cpu but im not sure. I don't see cpu getting any boosts when I play, I've seen it happen earlier but not lately...

Re: Does nobody play on Superstar?

Thanks for the insight guys...

Ya I hate aspects about superstar too but almost always in on All Star. When I do lose I usually still dominatenthe play...

Superstar is either a 2-3 goal win for the CPU or a 1-goal win for me. Idk. I'll keep fiddling.

Do you mean on superstar?

I thought that maybe superstar with ai and cpu difficulty at 3 might balance things out but i havent tried it to be honest.
