The Title Id problem

I've seen a lot of things written about the title ID problem in Horizon.
I still can't figure this out.

I follow the directions in NHL View -
1) get the roster file into usb drive
2) import into Horizon - follow all the Horizon steps, making the CON file and the DB file, package manager, rehash etc…etc… inject in the flash drive.

This is where we all have the title ID problem. Xbox360 won't recognize unless the title ID is correct not these"00000…"

I tried to use Hex editor and found the "000360" line and put the correct title ID in place of the 00-00-00-00.
Xbox finally recognizes it but its a corrupt file and you can't open it or use it.

I added the new lines, as per Artem K,in the NHLView conf file. which doesn't seem to change anything. The roster file's title ID (listed in horizon) is still all 0000's

Can someone provide some steps or advice as to how they got around this? Total newb here so I am not familiar with most lingo and techniques.
Hopefully this question can help whomever else is having problems using NHLView to edit roster files but can't get them back into the 360.

If you just extract the roster file NHL view should open it, it won't open dynasty or Be a GM files. And you shouldn't need the extra steps with Horizon either. The two folder (Original and Edited) is to keep your original roster save safe while you edit one.

1. Extract roster file (Horizon) you can place them in two folders ...put one in Original folder and one in Edited Folder you have to create both.
2. Open NHLView and open your roster save in Edited Folder (select PS3 or Xbox 360 save under open)
3. Make edits as you want in NHLView
4. Then make sure you save the roster file in NHLView
5. Then go back to Horizon right click on the roster in contents and click 'Replace' and select the roster file you extracted and edited. And then Save Rehash & Resign. Should be good from there.

***Create an Edited Folder and an Original Folder just to keep one safe from editing***

I tried doing it through the same steps you mentioned above and could never get all those steps to line together and not be corrupt.

I'm not following your steps. What your saying to do is pretty much what I've been doing which does not work. These are the steps I've been taking
specifically

1) Do you first open the file in horizon device explorer and extract to separate folder (not on usb drive) as a .CON extension?
2) Then open the package manager (still in horizon), in package manager open the .CON file you just created?
3) Then, still in package manager, go to contents tab and right click, hit extract, and create another file (next to the .CON file) with .DB extension?
4) Now you can open the .DB file in NHLView correct? Because I could not open the .CON file in NHLView.
5) Then edit in NHLView, and hit Save.
6) go back to Horizon package manager, Right click on on the .CON file loaded in package manager under the contents tab, replace with the .DB extension file you edited in NHLView. Rehash, resave etc..etc...
7) Then go to device explorer (horizon) right click on the roster file that is still in your usb drive, hit inject right??

No matter what happens when I inject it into the usb drive, the title ID goes to "00000s" and it cant be loaded on the 360.
it seems the title ID gets set to the 00000s almost as soon as you extract it out of the usb drive.

Re: The Title Id problem

you can edit your .CON files in hex editor before bringing into the packagemanager in horizon. That will give you the right title ID and put it correctly in the usb drive. Your Xbox will see it now that is has the right title ID but it is still a corrupt file.

the problem is it always doubles in size to 4.42MB no matter what you do. I think this is contributing more to corrupting the file.
I tried not editing it in NHLView and doing all the steps regardless, it still doubles in size. I tried not hex editing the .CON file and not editing the .DB file in NHLView and it still doubles in size to 4.42MB (even with the title ID being wrong at 00000s)

i see in previous thread about using modio - modio wont recognize any of my usb drives, all different types and iterations. i've followed the gametuts "how to fix Modio not recognizing a usb" and done all of those steps and still won't read it.

If anyone can provide any insight into this it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have issues with the Title ID, that's what I'm saying.
If you extract the roster in Horizon from your gamesave the ID stays with the extraction and into the NHLView edit. When you 'Replace' the file in Horizon with your edited file in NHLView the Title ID returns with the edit.

The only time I touch the Title ID is when someone provides a roster on Op Sports I download and I just copy and paste my Xbox ID's to their roster and save and rehash in Horizon then return back to Xbox.

When I open Horizon the package manager is already open and I just click to my gamesave on USB where all the ID's appear. I tried using the method with the .con file and Xtaf I believe and it just created more problems for me. Until I realized Horizon eliminates some steps. NHLView only opens 'Roster' files that get extracted from Horizon. Hope it helps and good luck.
