EA Lazy? Connect To Server in NHL?

So I went back to Madden for a couple days and it hits me.. WHY does EA sign you into the MUT server when you get disconnected from it in Madden (if it's available mind you).. but in NHL it doesn't.. I mean if you're not connected to EA and you click to join Ultimate Team play it signs you in.. why can't NHL 15 sign you in the same way instead of always saying it can't connect?

If I unplug the X-Box for a minute and plug it in.. restart and join NHL I can connect so the server's not DOWN, the game just isn't smart enough to connect?

There is a setting on the xbox one where you can turn off resume game after shut down/

That's not the point though.. if the Madden game is smart enough to re-sign in when you join MUT from the main screen, NHL should be smart enough to do so to the HUT server
