EA FC 25 slider - analysis

I don’t know what to call this slider set - contribution to name it while testing it , would be appreciated

I would describe this slider having good momentum in movements with great AI attacking for fun games for your career mode
And AI behavior is set up so players can shine in their strengths

Matt sliders are great and I tried to contribute over in that thread but core of the slider started to differ

Try it out and leave feedback - I am still tweaking it and await on Matt OS slider for his insight of his version 2 for inspiration

Only tested on World class difficulty - 6min halves



Wind effect medium
Weather - off

Speed 38/38
Acc 45/45 - anything higher AI gets twitchy
Shot error 55/55
Pass error 50/50
Shot speed 54/54
Pass speed 38/38 ( go 50 user if u manual)
Injury 90/10
Goalkeeper 65/65
Marking 50/50
Run freq 70/50
Height 50/50
Length 40/40
Width 40/40
Fullback 50/50
Touch error 65/65

Ai behavior
Tackle aggress - 1
Buildup speed 70
The rest all 50

What I found was for example if u change the goalkeeper value down - the shot speed got slower in game also
So it makes me believe if u change one slider you can have random unwanted effects overall
Another example was if I changed the width - randomly pass speed got affected

So basically if u testing - just copy the entire thing even if some values seem weird because you could have entirely different results .

Better build up play by the AI to attack , methodical instead of just rushing like a bull
Better AI defending positioning wise

Another thing I have realized is attack and defense Ai is linked together by EA for some stupid reason

This is why a lot of people are having frustrating matches on tactical or dynamic

And there is no smart AI for build up play

So if u slow down the build up, you essentially dumb the AI in attack and defense

Unfortunately it takes the fun out

Personally I would rather play exciting matches and sacrifice slow build up due to this

This set is not tested for longer than 6min halves , and not for legendary also .
I imagine it will not be balanced for this

Try Version 2


Restores the default H/L/W, which I believe it’s necessary for individual team tactics to play out - unfortunately width cannot be changed too much space to run through middle with pace strikers
U start messing with that and certain team who benefit from their tactics will be lost
Always remember positioning in defending, fast players will out pace you!
Play high line defense and you will get punished on the counter . Risk vs Reward in your tactics

6min halves - tested on only

Speed 38/38 - couldn’t go higher or Mbappe is broken
Acc 45/45 -
Shot error 55/55
Pass error 50/50
Shot speed 54/54
Pass speed 38/38 ( go 50 user if u manual)

player difficulty being turned on combined with a 50 height and 70 buildup speed resulted in teams getting forward on attack. I played a high line with Everton and felt the speed disparity of my slow defenders. This set of sliders did some very nice things. Despite being world class difficulty my first initial games with the sliders were challenging. I saw some odd defending by the AI though, but that may just be the nature of playing on world class?

Yeah it’s something that needs work , u can increase the acceleration 46. You risk of unbalancing the set tho-welcome to test it , either try acc 46 OR marking 52

The problem is the best AI is in legendary - but they play very robotic , almost playing to react to you rather than using real AI to breakdown opponent

Then you have world class , sometimes brain dead
Just like how u can’t use sliders to make professional gameplay good , world class has limitations also

Main thing for sliders - it has to be fun and be realistic result for the 6min halves u play
With unpredictable moments

When u sometimes go up in difficulty like legendary - the AI plays the same, the goals r the same. So it hard to strike balance with fun/realism/challenging

I've been playing AivsAi carreer mode daily since the lauch of fc24 and I would like to contribute.

I've been reading your findings with curiosity. Although one thing to be very clear on is game difficulty, it needs to be looked at as ai intelligence.

Ultimate is the only option to get the best AivsAi everthing needs to be built on this foundation, please see the below for support.

What you have been observing is somthing I call EA momentum.

We have the below for each match in our single player careers:

Simulation sliders, Ai sliders, EA momentum.

Thankfully ea have given us the option to turn off tactical behavoiur, more on this another time.

Ea momentum according to my observation over lets say 500 matches, does the below:

Home team advantage, possibly 10% stat benefit for home team.
Big game moments, last minute winners, I've been winning leagues without a loss and then suddenly lose the last 3 games, red card insanity, winning 2-0 then opposition gets a red card, I lose 4-2, so many times this happens.

Game flow kicks in at the start, around 20-25 minutes changes, 60-75 mins again, last 5 minutes, you can see the ai switching between a normal performance, to a faster one, then to a slower one, seems to be 3 presets and random.

Everybody testing sliders in career mode has this ea momentum in effect, its just clear, and it is still in eafc25.

I don’t know how to test with ultimate difficulty since it’s only in career mode

How’s your experience with the gameplay?
