Slowed down the pace? Really EA?

What about the opponent AI? Because I dont think it has ever been this fast. They are relentless and my guys feel like they are made of lead.

I am to the point of frustration where I dont even want to play anymore.

Hopefully the next gen will be better.

Re: Slowed down the pace? Really EA?

You nailed it. I read the topic and was going to say maybe it's slower but def not the CPU.

Because they are all hopped up on speed you have to pick up the pace or be left behind. Particularly when defending and this brings up another wtf.

Why won't the CPU attack slow it down and bring numbers into their attacking half? Yes, the CPU does pass back now but really only if you get up in their face and make them pass back.

Only maybe 3 or 4 times in the 80 or so matches I have played has the CPU built up their attack and not rushed it over the half line and tried to pick out a deep through ball or fired it rapidly down the wings for a cross attempt.

PC version. Edit speed agility accel ratings, and CPU team tactic and attack tendencies. Whole different game. No, make the WHOLE different game.

I was messing around a little today with sliders. I think I found a few small changes that make World Class more enjoyable and balanced. Move CPU Sprint and CPU Accelerator down to 48 and also CPU First Touch Error down to 48. Real Madrid #3 Vs Athletico Madrid #2. Played two matches both level at 2-2 and 3-3. Except for the annoying last 10 minute catch up cheese I was able to defend, get shots on goal, move the ball around, and keep up with opponent defenders. It felt balanced and most of all fun with a challenge. Without moving the sliders I was only averaging 2-5 shots per game now its 8-12. Give it a try.

Yeats, have you played since the patch was released? If so, thoughts?

I don't have the game, still playing the demo (Fidel super patch with all teams and stadiums). Can't stomach another year of trying to fix the CPU stat boosting that goes on in the full version, none of which is in the demo. That's one of the main reasons the full game feels so fast and frantic much of the time.

I agree with this completely. I dug how the xbox demo felt and went right out and pre-ordered 14 even though I knew I was buying it no matter what.

The full game, boosting, like you wrote, is overboard.

If this forthcoming console patch makes it play more like the demo I will be ecstatic.

If you play with the sliders a bit, you can get a very good game of football out of it.

I was ready to pull the plug on it too, but now I'm really enjoying myself.
