Lightbulb A few things that will make FIFA 13 better than PES 2013

1) More stadiums. I'm really tired of playing at "Century Park Arena" for New York Red Bulls or "Stadion Hanguk" for Benfica. I also find it really DISGUSTING and VILE that they put in Vancouver Whitecaps' stadium in and not NYRB's. I would like to see the following stadiums added:

MLS:
Red Bull Arena (New York Red Bulls)
Home Depot Center (LA Galaxy, Chivas USA, United States national team)

English Premier League:
White Hart Lane (Tottenham Hotspur)
Craven Cottage (Fulham)

Portuguese Primeira:
Estadio Da Luz (Benfica and Portugal national team)
Dragao (FC Porto)
Estadio Alvalade (Sporting Lisbon)
Braga Municipal (Sporting Braga)

Dutch Eredivisie:
Philips Stadion (PSV Eindhoven)
De Kuip (Feyenoord)
De Grolsch Veste (FC Twente)

Russian Premier League:
Zenit Arena (Zenit St. Petersburg)
Luzhniki Stadium (CSKA Moskva, Spartak Moskva, and Russia national team)

Ukrainian Premier League:
Donbass Arena (Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukraine national team)

Brazilian Serie A:
Maracana (Brazil national team)
Morumbi (Santos FC and Sao Paulo FC)
Beira-Rio (SC Internacional; GET THE NAME AND CREST RIGHT FOR ONCE)
Engenhao (Flamengo)

Argentinian Primera:
Bombonera (Boca Juniors and Argentina national team)

Uruguayan Primera:
Estadio Centenario (Penarol and Uruguay national team)

Australian A-League:
Sydney Stadium (Sydney FC and Australia national team)
Suncorp Stadium (Brisbane Roar)
AAMI Park (Melbourne Victory and Melbourne Heart)

Japanese J-League 1:
Saitama Stadium (Urawa Red Diamonds and Japan national team)
Toyota Stadium (Nagoya Grampus)

Korean K-League:
Seoul World Cup Stadium (FC Seoul and South Korea national team)
Daegu Stadium (Daegu FC)
Busan Asiad Stadium (Busan I'Park)

2) More Leagues: Ukrainian Premier League, Argentinian Primera, Uruguayan Primera, Japanese J-League 1, Japanese J-League 2, Dutch Eerste Divisie, Portuguese Liga Orangina. Bring back the Turkish League. Also please take out the Irish League, it is by far and away the worst league in the game, a waste of valuable space and the reason I still don't see RBA in the game.

3) More National Teams: Ghana, Nigeria, Japan, Ukraine.

4) International Call-ups in Be A Pro Mode: I haven't seen this concept of Be A Pro since FIFA 10. Be A Pro is completely pointless without this, it's the main reason I avoid the mode and instead play Manager Mode.

5) Better Player Growth in Manager Mode: If you're not gonna put manual growth back in, then at least make sure that our players don't take 20 seasons to reach their potential.

Any thoughts or ideas of your own?

As an Irishman from Vancouver, I find your post DISGUSTING and VILE, and far and away the worst thread on the FIFA forum. j/k

IMO, stadiums and more teams aren't needed. I'd prefer to see their efforts put into creating more realistic, sim gameplay, along with figuring out how to get teams to play like their real-life counterparts. They need to overhaul the gameplay AI and programming, that's the thing that's keeping this series from being truly better than PES.

Whatever you say, I'd rather have them give us small tweaks to gameplay AI and add all those stadiums, leagues, and national teams in.

All the teams and stadiums in the world mean nothing when every team in the game plays the exact same one-dimensional style of football. And when every team turns into Barcelona whenever the god mode programming kicks in, which happens every game at some point. As I said and as per the thread title, until EA completely revamps their extremely poor offline AI, this game will never be better than PES -- not in that department anyway.

To the OP: How about they included fouls this time around? Wouldn't you say that it's a basic thing of football?

So they can't revamp the AI and add the teams and stadiums?

Of course they can. They could do it in the last 3 years.

But why should they do it? People are stupid enough to buy the game each year and sites award 9s and 10s and game of the year awards. The sales come and everyone is happy: the money-worshippers and the ignorant.

Just a bit harsh don't you think? LOL. I'd say the game is definitely worth buying even in its current state, don't see a problem with that. Mind you, I got the PC version for 39 bucks, and I wouldn't have felt good about paying much more for it.

The issue is EA that spends all their dev time already on stadiums, teams and such. They don't need more of the same to be better than PES. Besides, the PES modding community adds dozens of stadiums and all the various leagues to the game each year anyway. FIFA can't compete with that. They need to make a commitment to improve the offline gameplay and AI, which is the one area PES has always been better.
