Ridiculous that so many of the things that are supposed to improve game realism are tied to next-gen consoles. Modern PCs are capable of what the PS5/XBoxSX are and more.

i was counting 13xNG (NextGen), about 50% seems pretty deep core gameplay stuff. That's pretty much saying "PC players, f**k you". I knew EA was like a relative in first degree of Satan himself, but this kind of obvious this year.

Chapeau, EA, Chapeau LOL

Excellent write up as always KG! I'm the most excited in years but we'll have to see how all this plays out, especially for single player. Biggest concern by far is whether the CPU will finally provide a solid challenge that utilizes guile, smart defending, and a variety tactics. I'm a little bewildered by the new difficulty options that boost player stats and the rationale for competitor mode - like, why not just give us a truly quality, challenging Ultimate difficulty? Ugh.

And I agree about the defending looking much better but a lack of intensity and purpose in tracking back when the lines are broken is worrisome and my guess is it won't ever truly be addressed out of fear of complaints over AI being too involved. Still looks a solid improvement and it might come down to how effective 2nd man press is at calling back midfielders again.

No mention yet though about improved refs :/
