FIFA In a Strong Position Coming out of E3

It’s a great time to be a soccer fan. Mornings and afternoons spent in France watching the 2016 Euro’s. Evenings spent with Copa America, taking it all in from the comfy confines of my couch. All the while my laptop sits next to me, as I in true American ADD fashion, scour the internet for any semblance of new information, or better yet, gameplay videos from FIFA 17. To my delight, news has been plentiful and gameplay videos are slowly starting to emerge. With a few days to digest all of this information, let’s take a look at the early features highlighted in FIFA 17.

If FIFA does nothing with career mode this year I am going to start looking into buying a gaming PC just so I can use the mods to actually make the mode worth while. Come on EA, we've been asking for an improved career mode for ages! I really didn't hear anyone ask for a story mode.........

I just want to be able to create teams and leagues again. It is terrible not being able to do this any more Creation Centre was my favorite thing back in FIFA 12 and 13, I'd spend hours creation the Ukrainian league and others EA never seemed to care about or be able to license. NHL create a team looks pretty lame to me so far, but at least it is something.

Get a gaming PC regardless, man. FIFA on the PC is an incredible experience. The guys on soccergaming and moddingway are pretty dedicated to achieving the most realistic and simulated experience as possible. Do it!

Totally agree with KG here. FIFA is a must-play for me year after year, but this is the first time in awhile that the game actually feels new. I got to play 17 very briefly at E3 and I'm already wanting to play more. So far we've got a new engine, new visuals, new managers, new gameplay, an entirely new mode, and barely any mention of FUT (although we all know that's coming). This has to make some people around here pretty happy.

Getting the game to play right on the new frostbite engine will be a heavy lift. I'll be surprised if a lot is done with modes.

See McIlroy golf.

I just made the switch myself from PS4 and grabbed the PC version recently. I would not say it is a dramatic difference, but there are some changes for the better with play as things are a tad slower with more momentum and less twitch in the gameplay compared to console. I mainly play MLS, so it was a surprise to see much better character models as they are much more detailed instead of being more generic on the console version. Sure there are still issues, but I am enjoying it much better than the console experience and I have not even got to the mods yet.

the camera-mod from doctor-fidel alone is worth a pc-version .... the default cams suck so bad, you can't zoom out wide and you can't put height down real low.

and the new moddingway-uefa-euro 2016 gameplay mode is great, like a new dlc. doctor-fidels GP-EVO gameplay and new authentic-sound is also great stuff.

i almost feel sorry for all consoleros not having all those stuff
