What are your house rules for Manager Mode?

With FIFA 15 nearly here...(or here for those with EA access!), thought it would be a good chance for people to share and discuss there house rules for Manager Mode to keep things realistic if people prefer to play that way...

The only thing I've added to the Orion's sliders for FIFA 15 (he made sliders already) is to put the money option on STRICT. The rest is fine with the sliders.

Realistic signings are big for me.

As I usually play with Bristol City, it's much more realistic for us to sign a player from the country we play in, paying over the odds to do it instead of signing a 17-YO Korean wonder kid who plays the same position.

Yeh if i'm in my Peterborough manager mode I only recruit youth players from England, Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, Norway and Sweeden and only bring in maybe 1 international recruit for the year...

I think ZO posted some of his guidelines somewhere, they were pretty good.

I use a strict board, my sliders, and the GTN only for transfers. Other than that I have none.

@orion - any particular reason you choose the strictness over the leniency?, and what other uses does the GTN have other than transfers?...

Difficulty plain and simple. It should be very very difficult, near impossible to turn Sheffield Wednesday into a European power, and a strict board allows for that.

Re: What are your house rules for Manager Mode?

This is one of those games were I'm more lenient on realistic buys etc since the transfers windows are pure chaos. I do 2 career modes a year, Barça & an English team. This year I'll probably go straight to the BPL or switch out Newcastle's team with the worst League 2 team and play on from there.

House rules with Barça (due to the ban these are new)

-Can't buy people after the summer of 2015. Giving myself this summer, this winter and next summer to load up. The ban will be for 5/6 seasons. Only players I can buy, Barça B players (hoping one day they fix this, I shouldn't have to buy these kids. Also should be able to call up and send down whenever. Guessing FIFA thought their stay would be short like RM Castilla).
-Can sell whenever
Buying wise:
-No more than 3 80+ players a year
-No more than 5 75+ players a year

For the English one I'm still 50/50 on what to do. The upgrades for the BPL are nice, also every stadium means I can choose anyone not in the big 6 instead of only Newcastle. Currently debating between Newcastle & West Ham for my career. Leicester is a dark horse as I like their kits and stadium. Or to go to a League 2 squad and build them up.

If I go straight to the BPL

-Using the level 65 takeover season 1 to bring in a new squad (sort of, depending on the team). If it's Newcastle only safe player is Cabella. West Ham, Valencia.
-After the first season I'll be using the other takeovers, should be 4/5 others. Going from highest to lowest as I'll be able to sell players for more $$ in the later years or get more $$ for achievements as well so I wouldn't need too much money from the owners.
-Using the first takeover bring in at least 6 players and 2 superstars (Not sure how much this one is, the one before this one was 70 mil I think).
-Winter window bring in 3 more players, if there is still money available. Also if I sell 5-6 players during the summer or 2 players during the winter window.
-After that I'll have a 6 player per year maximum, with 4 being the most I can buy during summer and 2/3 during winter.
-Can only buy 4 during winter if I'm fighting off relegation (lower level players to come help out)

If I go to League 2 (not with Newcastle)
-Use the lowest financial takeovers and bring in experience players (Pappa is one of them, mainly because he's Guatemalan. Also underrated, Pappa >>> Zusi imo)
-Every year after go building up money only if I gain promotion. Saving up the big one for when I reach the BPL
-No restriction on player nationalities. UK players imo are kind of horrid, so my English teams mostly have South Americans or other Europeans in there.
-With the takeovers (specially the 1st) I'll seek out 5* 5* scouts to build up an academy. After the last takeover money should be short and I'll depend on my youth team (ala La Masia). Why 5* 5* scouts? Mainly because if they're available why not use them, also I'll be needing their help in the later years.
-4 player buys maximum up at the BPL per year. 1 Superstar after I've established myself (top 4 finish)
-Promote at least 3 youth kids per season, try to start 1 every year. When I have 11 I'll try to go with a starting 11 of youth academy players for the League Cup.

Might be more, but that's what I got for right now.
