Going to discuss the pass reaction slider here.

EA is definitely using the same code for that slider as older game play code.

If anyone remembers the old Knock Down slider that used to be in game many years ago.

Knockdown controlled the vertical jumping of defenders and their reaction time once a pass was thrown. In the old games with knockdown up high defenders didn't even need to see the ball to jump and deflect and a pass.

They basically had eyes in the back of their heads the higher that slider was set. I noticed once you start dropping the slider below 50 you get a normal reaction out of defenders when playing the ball in air.

Vertical jumping because more ratings based and awareness seems to matter more.

This game still has those goofy looking back to the ball swat animations because of the reaction slider controlling a part of it

Yes! Thank you for these, PM! I run all over the defense on Varsity so definitely need to up it to AA.

Side question for you: any recommendations on Coach XP Progression speed? I think Normal is too fast and Slowest might be too slow. I’m thinking Slow is the way to go but wanted to see what a professional thought

I haven't really progressed in dynasty mode yet.

Waiting to see what EA does with a Patch before committing.

But in Madden I always used Slow progression because the ratings are already out of hand to start dynasty.

I actually love 0 speed on my CPU vs CPU sliders.

What I noticed is the defenders have the speed to keep up with slot wr's and TE's more so the separation isn't as wide.

Now granted I only tested this on varsity level.
