Just curious and maybe it's just me. But despite having 10 years off from the game EA still didn't bother to add any new sliders.

You would think this down time would have allowed them to add further customization into their game.

I've spoken about this often in the madden forums. Their NHL game has added over 15+ additional sliders in the past decade to allow further customization to gameplay.

I feel like the football games are so far behind the times.

Tendency sliders would great

Can't increase ball carrier vision on the field.

Qb AI logic

Separate special teams sliders for blocking and pursuit would be great. We can't even select real fg% percentage on FG's by kickers.

2K has real FT's percentages based on players True FT's in real life.

That would seem like an easy addition for kickers

We can't control a lot if things on the field or AI play calling late in games or halfs because there's very few sliders.

I know the majority of consumers don't care about sliders and don't touch them. But most consumers looking for a SIM style gameplay experience immediately start working on sliders.

I don't mean to rant because I'm just as excited as the next guy to get the game back.

But I'm very dissatisfied that EA continues to ignore the gameplay options for customization despite having so much down time.

Welcome back fellas to college football

THIS 100! It boggles my mind that they marketed this game so hard to be different from Madden, yet all the settings and sliders are the exact same. They clearly copied a lot of stuff from Madden and previous versions of NCAA. For them to say this is a new game seems kind of dishonest. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about the game, but was disappointed in this as well.

I’m mostly concerned that they work properly first. Then I’d like to see them add more.

One of the penalty sliders literally says it's based on NFL stats so some definite copy/paste going on.

Lol

Maybe they forgot it's a college game

The fact that they haven't added anything despite taking off 10 years tells me they are content with the current settings.

And since there is never any huge outcry over the gameplay sliders we will never see any new sliders added.

At least the NHL production team stepped up with their product.

Re: Is anyone else concerned that EA has added no new sliders

It is disappointing there aren't more. Surprisingly, on the Madden 25 beta forums one of the more upvoted topics was a request for more sliders.

I feel like tendency sliders are a must. Both for player tendency and team tendency sliders. If it was really in-depth and broken down by position archetypes, that'd be perfect. I'd love to be able to set how often each QB type scrambles separately. A slider, or simply a setting that allows us to pick how early in the game CPU teams start running hurry up and worrying about the time when trailing by X amount of scores.

Other additional tendency slider examples would be not just run and pass ratios, but potentially the concepts themselves so if we saw the CPU relied too much on Draw plays on 3rd and medium we could lower their run tendency on those downs.

I'd also love to see certain sliders broken down a little more, like Pass Accuracy, Pass Coverage, Catching, and Pass Interference all be broken down into Short, Medium, and Deep categories so that we could fine tune each area of the passing game a bit more.

A Pursuit slider would be nice, especially in Madden where it makes less sense for them to be as bad as they are compared to a collegiate game. We already have a Pass Reaction Time slider, it'd be nice to get one for the run game as well.

A lot of my slider requests are probably pipe dreams, but I feel not all are and we are definitely long overdue for a large sliders expansion.

I am surprised it don't have the physics based slider that the Madden 25 beta has that determined who more often won a ball carrier falling forward or backwards on tackles dice roll.

I think that slider is related to "Boom Tech", and since EA CFB doesn't have "Boom Tech", it didn't get that slider...

But that's speculation on my part...
