Zero update and I would bet my house it won’t ever be backwards compatible for XBOX One since there are legal issues around the game.

Yup, never happening due to legal issues.

I have my doubts too however perhaps a way around these issues is to make the game backwards compatible but don't make it available for purchase.

That’s not worth their time. Why go through the trouble? Those who have the game already have a console and play on it. Almost no one would buy the new console just to continue playing an old game, they’re happy on their 360 or PS3.

That means it only works for people who already have the game (they get no cut on second hand sales). So they would spend time/resources (money) to make something work that gives them nothing in return.

Really! They have raked in the cash on this game. By the way I would get rid of my 360 if they made this game backwards compatible. No one is saying buy a new console. Just let us play the game on the new system. Not rocket science here.

Yes they raked in cash when it was new, but they won’t get any more from making it compatible. It would be a poor move from a business standpoint.

I get what you’re saying, it would be convenient. It’s just not a money maker.

It'll never happen due to licensing issues.

There's a reason why the only sports game that is backwards compatible is NBA Jam and it's confusing how that even made the cut.
