Help an Old Dude, Please!!

Hey guys, I'm looking for a bit of help. Just getting back on NCAA14 after a few years off. Can anyone give me a few (a lot) tips of setting up a dynasty, and things I must know to get the best of this great game. Even point me to a thread or two that could get me going. Setting up conferences, recruiting, playbooks, etc... I'm not new to the game, have been playing for years, just have not played 14 for a couple years.

Thanks in advance
Old Dude

It depends what you're looking for, honestly. The "House Rules" thread is long, but an excellent read. It's a great thread of how people have added realism, and made the game more challenging for themselves. The self imposed rules range from injuries, recruiting, coaching style, playbooks, playcalling etc.

If challenge is a key, a lot of people turn off fatigue and don't use any coaching perks. There's a lot of ways to tailor the game to your own skill level though, as you'll see in house rules.

A big factor for me is using the sliders too.

Also, here's a thread of people's custom conferences. Personally, I like to follow the real life conferences, for the most part. Some people do promotion and relegation too.

I hope this helps!

Here's a guide with steps for the conference changes from 2014 up to now if you want to mimic how they changed in real life throughout the years.

Re: Help an Old Dude, Please!!

If you tell us what kind of offense/defense you’re trying to run we can suggest team specific playbooks that run that same kind of offense
