That sucks I have been buying ncaa since 07 I love this damn game. I always buy ncaa and wont even buy madden . guess I'll have no choice but to stick to ncaa 14.

Ever is a really long time. The structure of college football is quite unstable and unsustainable currently. Going to a playoff format and paying the players in the future would change the situation quite a bit.

Can I expect the price to drop on used versions like any other year or will this become a coveted game and drive up prices? NCAA Basketball 10 suffered the same fate but you can get used copies on Amazon for under $25.

After you mess around with the sliders and customize the coaching tendencies it plays a solid game of football. If you love college football get it.

I have no idea if this is a good idea or not, but as a thought experiment:

If the NCAA is able to whether the legal storm swirling around this case with its structure intact, I would think this might actually be a feasible option. Conferences and athletic departments aren't stupid, exposure is exposure and the game provides a not-insignificant amount of exposure (I'm curious if there are figures to be found on what effects NCAA Football has on the exposure of the sport), and that means $.

Would it be possible for the NCAA to spearhead forming such a union for its athletes? Add in a clause to their agreements saying that "by signging here, you consent to be represented by the NCAAPA (or whatever)." Finding college-y sounding language to couch it in shouldn't be too hard; think of it as a preparing the kid for the pro sports labor market in some way.
