Pulling a struggling player...

My impact QB tossed three Ints in the first half of this Houston game so I yanked him down 7-20. The backup gave us a spark and the whole team has gotten it together and now we're up 27-20.

My question is, when you pull a struggling guy when do you bring him back into the game?

Isn't it you who is throwing all the interceptions? Replacing the qb doesn't mean crap.... You are controlling where he throws!

It is. I'm going with the hot hand. Now up 34-27 with the ball and 1:06 to play...in FG range

Re: Pulling a struggling player...

How do their ratings compare? If they are close I would stick with him into the next game. If he's a lower ranked player and just having a great game I might hand it back to the more talented starter next game.

The starter is rated 90+ with 95+ Awr. He was just having a bad half but the backup got it done for us. Chris Estes will return to his starting spot in our next game against #15 Georgia Tech.
