Declaring for the Draft

Before I started my dynasty, I forgot to change some of the top underclassmen to seniors so they would leave for the draft. So now I'm stuck with guys that will undoubtedly leave school early (Clowney, Manziel, Lee, Bridgewater, etc.).

Has anyone found a sure-fire way to get these non-seniors to declare for the draft? I've messed around and edited height, weight, and attributes, but it just seems like a crap shoot. Sometimes they'll declare and sometimes they won't. I was just looking for any answers to whether there are specific number values that force these guys to declare.

Also, does anyone know if the AI will still play someone if they're overall is as low as possible? For example, if I lowered Johnny Football's rating to the lowest possible value, will he still be #1 on the A&M depth chart?

I know others have made similar threads, but I haven't seen a specific, consistent answer.
