Impact Players

Does anyone know how they are chosen? I'd like to know because it seems a little random and alot of times get changed in the middle of the season or by week 3-4. (Im a dynasty guy)

Also, this just popped in my mind. Which position do you see Impacts at the most and at the least/weird positioins youve seen them at?

It's basically the highest rated guys. 1 is chosen for offense and 1 for defense at the beginning of the season. A couple of weeks in a 3rd is chosen. This guy is probably highly rated as well, but his performance during the season matters as well. If he starts slumping a new 3rd guy can be chosen, but the 1st and 2nd will never change during the season.

In NCAA 12, my #2 WR was playing really well and became an impact player along with Sanu midway through the season.

They rarely choose defensive lineman (Unless they are by far the highest rated player on the D by a mile). Seems like all EA focuses on LB.

I have seen it where an impact player at the start of a season lost the designation and given to someone else on the team. It happened to me, most recently in my Kent Sate dynasty. Nix, the DT, lost the designation and it was given to Archer my HB.

My team has 5 impact players, including by backup RB with a 91 overall who gets maybe 3 carries a game and mainly returns kicks. Then there is my QB, WR1, MLB and my senior CB.

EA needs to bring back the option for us to choose our own Impact players. Or at least 2 of 3.
