QB Slide?

For the life of me I can't figure out how to slide with the QB. I have a 360.

It's becoming a serious problem because my Freshman ATH QB is getting injured EVERY game.

Quickly tap the dive button and make sure you're not pressing a direction with the analog sticks.

Re: QB Slide?

you can be holding straight up the field but often if you wait too long then you run the risk of the cpu thinking that you want to dive and it will attempt a dive.

it's safest to tap X well before a defender is near while releasing the sticks.

make sure you tap X and don't hold it down otherwise you will attempt a dive.

also remember that you need to do it well before a defender gets near and goes into a tackle animation.

Just let go of the analog sticks right before you tap the dive/slide button. This is what I do and I've never had an issue with diving when I want to slide.

Re: QB Slide?

For PS3 you have to be kinda gentle with pushing the square (dive) button. Seems to work when I'm running as well. For me it seems easier to do this year than it did in previous games.

Re: QB Slide?

I never release the stick and I can slide just fine. Most people that have problems sliding (and it seems to be a large number of people, which I honestly don't understand) are probably holding the X button for too long. You just have to tap it.
