Starting RB subbed out.

Why is it late in games, even very close games that the cpu will sub my all american starting RB out for the back up.
I dont mean when my starter gets tired I mean they completetly sub him out of the game. I am not kidding my starting RB was subbed out of my last 3 drives in my game last night and no he wasnt hurt at all either.
I have seen this in each of the 5 games i have played in my dynasty. Any one know why this is happening?

This also happened to me, but in a blowout win. Though I have experience your same exact issue as well.

Check your auto subs. If RB sub in is higher then 85, change it to 85.

Re: Starting RB subbed out.

I've had this happen to me in every game this year too. It's very frustrating. I can't get my RB's to get over 100 yards in a game because of them disappearing in the 4th quarter.

I'm sure there's a thread somewhere for this, but I haven't looked.

Re: Starting RB subbed out.

I believe it's a Mass Substitution happening. In a blowout game, or once it believes the nail is in the coffin, when the 4th quarter rolls around, the game automatically does a mass substitution to put in your 2nd team offense & defense. It's been that way for years as far as I can remember actually. Especially if you use super sim at all as the game is winding down.

If you want your starters back in, at the start of the drive go back to the strategy portion of the menu, and into mass subs, and swap them back in. It does them all for you at once, you dont have to go to depth chart and do it one position at a time. The mass subs feature is great to have, but I dont see why the CPU automatically decides when we should use it.

Had that problem a couple years ago. Change to 85 and you will be fine.

Re: Starting RB subbed out.

I think this has to do with auto subs. After a certain point in the game, it becomes impossible for your RB to get above a certain fatigue level.

So if you have auto subs set at 90% sub-in for instance, in the fourth quarter your RB may only be getting up to 85%.

Check your sub-in sliders and lower them; that should do the trick.

It has nothing to do with it being a blow out.
The last game it happened to me and i was only winning 24-20 with about 3 minutes left and my starting RB never played. Like i said it was a close game and he didnt play the last 3 possisions of the game.
