Help dealing with the Blitz

Hello friends,
I need some help really bad. I have a buddy of mine that I play online. He blitzes every freaking down! He used Texas I used USC. He beat me 28-14. It drove me crazy he jammed my receivers at the line to distrupt the timing and quick pass. Any help would be appreciated to beat this cheeser!

Re: Help dealing with the Blitz

Usually in online ranked matches my opponents reveal which side they are blitzing from. This allows me to adjust my lineman to slide protect to that side.. usually this buys me an extra second or two.

For play calling, I recommend using screen plays and shallow crossing routes to counter the press coverage. Just quick routes in general are very helpful.

Keep a TE and HB in to block. Any combo of outs, slants go routes with remaining 3 Wrs should work well. Also screens

Also, any pass plays that send a WR in motion should help with getting them off the press.

Screens, screens, and more screens.

You may get sacked a few times but if you get off you bound to have a big gain as noone is there to defend it.

Re: Help dealing with the Blitz

I find an effective blitz is the 1-5-5 bear prowl. So I press my DB's and send 6 against their 5....assuming they are in gun. However, the more bodies in the box for the offense the less effective/moot the blitz becomes, and big plays tend to open up.

So it is a simple as using better formations.

This year you can hot route runnin'backs to hold a block before releasin' to run a route; seems pretty effective for me.
