Trying To Split RB Using Formation Subs

Only thing is I'm not sure what attributes to look at for picking what RB should be where. Obviously my best power back will be the GL guy, but aside from that, I'm not sure what i should be looking for to put my RBs in ACE, Pistol, I-form, Shotgun etc..

For Texas, I use a 3-back system with Brown, Bergeron & Gray...I went through each formation, counted the number of Inside/Outside/Counter/Draw runs...For more outside runs, I put Gray in. For more inside, Bergeron. Brown would get the split.

Ah never thought of it that way, never went through the actual play types. Thanks, that's going to be really useful. Btw glad you used Texas as an example, because they were one of the teams I'm concidering being them in my dynasty. Oh and off topic, love your mlb the show rosters!

Re: Trying To Split RB Using Formation Subs

I use L S U... And run a 4 back system

Running back. Touches. Play type
Spencer Ware. 70% Inside runs & ace single back formation
Michael Ford. 20% Outside runs & I-formation toss etc.
Alfred Blue. 5%. Option plays & mix formations great stiff arm
Kenny Hilliard. 5% Goal line & short yardage situations

Keeps the defense off balance very hard for opponents to plan and strategize against these different running styles especially mixed in with play action on 1st down situations.
