Icon5 EA needs to put a better emphasis on crap teams becoming good...

I know the game is supposed to be all about the "realistic CFB experience" (which they sorta suck at doing). But I remember playing an old college football game where you could upgrade your facilities and stadium and actually see the progression. I hate the fact that I can take Texas State and turn them into a top 5 teams year after year but see nothing that would make you think they are. You still have to play in that small stadium and still have to see those small crowds. When will EA really start to put an emphasis on this? You can get an achievement for taking a 1* to a 5* but thats as far as it goes.

I would love to see EA implement a new "mode" or just better "depth" to that aspect. They should put a feature in the game where you can take a team like FAU (they suck) and opt to have you build a new small stadium or opt to keep the one they have. Then as you win games you can add on features to your stadium. I think one of the last EA MVP baseball games had something like this. Like if you go a season where you take FAU 9-3 and win your conference and win a big bowl game. You can opt to renovate the stadium to add an additional 10,000 seats. Then when you start the new season you can actually SEE the progression. And have upgrades for each big mile marker with the teams. Win a BCS game...new level to the stadium or an upgrade to the student section. Win the National Title...have an option to create (or pick from a list) a new entrance. Have generic ones as well as school specific ones (the smoke for Miami would work for many, as well as VT's entrance). So on & so on. So its not just on the field and in the stats its visual in the stands. Now wouldn't that be a great addition to the entire CFB experience?

Why not put this in, instead of the damn "Mascot Mashup" that no self respecting owner of the game has ever even played (I have never clicked into the damn thing). I just think it would be a nice addition to dynasty after adding in the option to play as either the OC/DC/HC, this would be a great addition. With the small schools you could even take the helm as Athletic Director as well as the head coach. I would even be cool with them adding this in and then having to take the "proposal" for the new renovations to a "vote" by the board of trustees. I think it would give us more to play for other than the challenge personally. We all love building teams up but how much do we honestly get to "build" them up. Its time EA takes this from "figuratively" and makes it "reality".

Let me know what you think or what you would like to see. Expand on the idea if you will....or flame me. Your prerogative.

Agree 100%. Take out RTG if need be since they claim disc space is a problem.

This would be a great idea. Have a similar set-up for creating stadiums like Madden to where you can add new entrances, change the turf (if you wanted), make it a dome or even make the team logo better.

I'm sure there's something in EVERY logo that someone would like to change.

I agree with the mascot thing too, it's a useless feature.

Feel free to correct me if any of the following is incorrect as I have little understanding of programming and the like.

I think this is something that would maybe have to wait until next gen. I say that because I think next gen will use blue ray instead of DVD to increase storage space. If that's true, then not only could you get better graphics(better engine), but you could also cram more onto the disc.

I realize that the PS3 uses blue ray discs but since they make it on the 360 then port it over to PS3, it's a moot point.

Then again, I probably have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER about ANY of this so... If you can correct me in layman's terms, feel free.

It is something I'd like to see, though. Kind of like UAB getting a campus stadium, but that's a totally different issue for another forum.

Re: EA needs to put a better emphasis on crap teams becoming good...

I agree.. It's why, for the most part, I like to be my school so much. Anyone can take a 4 or 5* team and be good, but I like building up a team, winning and moving up into stronger conferences, and competing on all levels. It is part of what makes recruiting so fun, from scrapping for lower guys to seeing more and more interest from top recruits each year you improve. EA can really do a lot with this from attendance to facilities and ect. FAU just built a gorgeous stadium for real but how about the ability to unlock upgrades, make changes, and win donations to be put toward what the player chooses?

KW, By the time UM comes to Boca in a few years hopefully its going to be a good game, and I don't just mean in the dynasty on NCAA 13 either...

I was skeptical about the taking out to RTG comment but since you can't import it into madden anymore it seems like something else that doesn't need to be in NCAA anymore. Especially when they added Heisman players, which is almost a mirror of RTG.

You'll never be able to alter real stadiums. Even if EA was given the rights to do it (which they will never get), the way stadiums are put into the game makes it impossible to just add upper decks and what not.

Couldn't have said it better. I'd be shocked if they ever got this feature in just for the reason you stated alone.

'Bout the only way you could make this a viable option, was to create a team, and build that up. With as much money that goes into most these big time college stadiums aint no way in hell would they allow them to be altered on a game.
