Halfback Walk Cheat/Glitch

This is so unbelievably frustrating. I've had two people do it to me now...one who I was beating heartily today and then he used it in the final minutes to win. I've called and emailed EA about this but there are YouTube videos showing the glitch as far back as August of last year so I have no idea why the glitch hasn't been fixed yet.

Is there any way to counter this? It totally ruins the online experience.

Basically the running back walks really slowly and becomes untacklable. I don't know how it's done.

Are there people who hide in their rooms all year masterminding how to glitch videogames? If you were going to all that effort, why not just master the game the "right" way?

Because they're either kids that wanna be bigshots (in their minds) or older folks who are still single and have no life.

And they don't know the "right" way to play.All they know is how to glitch the game to get their pathetic names on the leaderboard.(As if that means anything)

I agree. In the big scheme of things, the online leaderboards are meaningless. But I can't deny that some gratification comes from rising in the rankings. When I'm paying $60, I would expect EA to take some responsibility and ban the cheaters/glitchers or at least fix the obvious glitches like this one. It just doesn't seem like they even care.

There are plenty of people who view winning as winning and they want to win no matter the cost. Things such as "honor" have no weight in the decision-making process. It comes down to winning, because winning makes them feel good and losing makes them feel bad. It's really that simple.

I could go further into the psyche of such a typical gamer, but I'll spare the boring details.
