Weird poll movement after bowls?

After the bowl season, I look through the scores/schedules to see that Notre Dame (11-1; ranked 7 coaches, 5 media) crushes Oregon State (12-1; ranked 5 coaches, 8 media) in their Rose Bowl match up, 31-7. But then I check the post-bowl top 25 and see that, while ND's new rankings are 6 coaches (+1), 5 media (no change), Oregon State has moved way up: 3 coaches (+2), 3 media (+5)!

Meanwhile, I look at USC (#8/#4), who beat Texas A&M in their bowl and dropped to #14/#12.

What's up with that? Has anyone else seen anything similar? I've played quite a few seasons in this dynasty--maybe I have just never paid attention before.

Yea I lost in the championship to OU and I still was #1 in the polls but the title went in the recordbooks to OU and everything that was wacky.

Just a thought, it might be considering what players are leaving etc and taking that into account for there ranking but I don't know for sure

Pretty sure that a season's end poll would not reflect what will happen prior to the next season (that would be your pre-season poll)

On another note, if you are experiencing weird poll movement lasting more than 4hours, you should seek immediate medical attention to avoid permanent injury
