Anyone play in an OD where you sim the games? Couple of questions

I'm in year 5 of an OD with two other friends as we're all coordinators. Does anyone know if as an OC, the changes that you make in Coaching Philosophy of the other side of the ball is impacted by the changes you make in that menu? As a DC, one of my friends made a custom playbook and accidentally went into the 'play now' screen and saw that his team was using a different playbook.

Another question, is that since we're simulating our games, there is some variability and harder to progress to a winning team in a tough conference. Any info if changing the game difficulty will affect simulated games? I'm thinking no, on that front.

Thanks
