Avoid Patch & Tuner #2?

So I haven't downloaded the second patch and tuner because I don't want my custom playbooks to get all jacked up. Is this the best way to go?

I'm hoping that the next patch - assuming we get it - fixes the CPB glitches (disappearing formations, reordered plays, etc.) outright without requiring Patch 2 first, thereby avoiding a total CPB rebuild. This seems pretty unlikely though. If I'm going to be rebuilding my CPBs from scratch, I might as well download Patch 2 so I can at least play some offline games in the meantime. Thoughts?

The game plays 200X better with the patch, than without.

I doubt your custom playbook is diverse enough that it cannot be replicated, unless your game is completely based around no huddle and you could absolutely not run any form of offense without it (which is still worked around) there really isn't a point to not download the patch.

Exactly this.

Game play post patch is so much better it drowns out cpb amd no huddle.

That is unless you are solely based on a no huddle O.

Game play wise though, its worth the sacrafice.

The issue isn't that they aren't irreplaceably diverse, it's that (1) it took quite a while to assemble them exactly how I want them; and, more importantly (2) I don't want to lose formations (I-Form Tight, Wildcat, etc.).

But if the trade off really is as substantial as you guys claim, maybe it'd be worth it. What kinds of offenses are you running? If WR blocking really has improved - especially in the option game - then I might consider it.

You can always dump the patch if its not for you.

Re: Avoid Patch & Tuner #2?

Only played 3 games post patch #2 and have to say it plays much better. I was able to run some bubbles and slip screens. I run with Georgia so I use their playbook.

But you can't get back to only patch 1 if you download the patch and patch 1 plays much better than no patches.

As a CPB/no-huddle user who feels that patch 1 plays a very good game, I'm not downloading the patch/tuner until the issues with it (which would certainly affect me more than most) are fixed. If they're never fixed, I'm perfectly happy with patch 1.

Re: Avoid Patch & Tuner #2?

This is slightly off-topic but it pertains to the patch so I'll ask it anyway. Does anyone know if the "substantial playing time" promise bug in dynasty mode has been resolved? I'm hesitant to use it even if I know the recruit will be my day 1 starter because of how it has affected me before.
