Players you've recruited that you will NEVER forget

Whether they be good, bad, or just plain horrible!!

During my Tulane dynasty, I recruited a 6'6, 198lb WR. Guy ran a 4.19 40yrd dash but had hands of stone. He could burn most DB's but dropped everything that came near him. Once had 8 drops in one game and I never played him again.

I posted this story earlier. This guy I didn't recruit, but I tried really hard during my North Texas dynasty. 6'5, 223 lbs, balanced QB, 4-star prospect. The final week of recruiting, it was down to me and Baylor. He signs to Baylor and I wasn't that upset at first, until I saw that Baylor signed 7 Qb's. 3-5 stars and 4-4 stars. He was at the very bottom of the Depth Chart and redshirted freshman year. He decided to transfer to North Texas(my school) but I denied it. Kinda regret it, but he deserved it.

During my Kent State dynasty, I needed a QB to fill a void. I recruited a 6'6, 240lb ATH not knowing where he would fit in. Once position changes came up, I switched him to QB and ended up being a 76 OVR. First game of the season was against Ohio State. They kick off, my return man fumbles and fall on it at the 3 yard line. I decide to pass on my first play and ended up getting sacked in the end zone for a safety. My QB didn't get up. After a few minutes, I realize that he's out of the season with a knee injury. I ended up giving him a medical redshirt. That year, I go 5-7 and fail to make a bowl game. I do the whole offseason thing and next year, he's my starting QB. I schedule a FCS team as my first game, so I could get him an easy game to win. First play from scrimmage I get sacked again, fumble, and they return it for a TD. He doesn't get up. He's out for the season again with a knee injury. After the season he transfers to Western Michigan and never plays again. He was supposed to be an All-American and get drafted in Madden in all that.

Final collegiate stats- 0-2, 0 yds, 2 sacks

Blake Prince. He was a 4 star prospect in NCAA 2011 I found in the off season recruiting, that I barely beat Ohio State out for. I was surprised when he came in rated in the high 70s, so I red shirted him. Anyway the next season he was my fourth string receiver and the more I threw to him the more I realized how good his hands were. So as a red shirted sophomore he was my starting wide receiver and so began his campaign of breaking every major receiving record for Michigan State and a couple NCAA records, he average 100 yards per game and at least 1 touchdown. He was always making all kinds of crazy catches... I would just lob it up to him and he would come down with it 75% of the time. O and he was my only 99 overall player I recruited myself.

I jusy got a 78 overall wideout. I probably shouldve redshirted him but i couldnt resist his speed. His first game he had 237 yards and 3 tds vs ecu. I hope he keeps ballin once i get into my sec schedule (uga year 2)

Erik Samuel. I recruited him for West Virginia in NCAA 11. Came in as a 6'3" 262lb middle linebacker. I was stacked at LB and he was like a 77 overall, so I moved him to the D-line. 4 Years later he left school as a 277 lb. D-tackle with 91 speed, 98 strength and 97 acceleration. He was also a 98 overall and was just totally unblockable. Can't imagine how highly sought after a guy like that would be in real life.

5'-9", 169 lb CB out of Utah.
4 star rating, A+ jumping, B Catching, B+ Speed.

Started him as a freshman and he shut down everyone and everything that came his way.
Best game he had was 3 interceptions, even Brad and Kirk were impressed.

This kid made the Freshmen All American list.

Can't wait to see what he can do as a sophomore.

Re: Players you've recruited that you will NEVER forget

Both from NCAA 11...

QB: Mark Cunningham
HB: Patrick Berry

Cunningham was the #2 QB in the nation, and split time with EJ Manuel his freshman year. He was the thrower to Manuel's scrambler in my two-QB system. His first play from scrimmage ended up being a 70-yard TD strike off a quick slant route, and I knew he was gonna be something special based on how he placed the ball into coverage. He only entered as a mid-70's rated QB, but ended up with mid-90's by the start of his Sr year, despite my system moving towards a more run-focused attacked, mainly because of Berry's explosiveness. I had red-shirted Berry, who was also the #2 RB in the nation, his first year on campus, simply because of the depth I already had at halfback. Even with a couple upperclassmen ahead of him his first year in the backfield, he ended up easily being the standout back. He was Bo Jackson in Tecmo Bowl, Barry Sanders in Madden... An absolute beast of a back. And over 5,000 yards later, he's easily the one player I'll never forget from any sports dynasty.

Final career stats for both:

Spoiler

Sorry about the quality, I was playing NCAA 11 on a crappy SD set.
