Just hoping before the end of the month.
Today's the 16th, there are 31 days in August, and it takes about a week for patches to pass through the MS/Sony certification before they become available. That would mean we should here something about patch progress within the next 7-8 days to make the "before the end of the month" deadline. Of course all this hopeful, I mean we're talking a team of people who believed that this game was bug free and even said so on that stupid making of show, so I put little stock in what they say.

Actually, it takes 2 weeks to become certified with a patch from MS/Sony.

Precisely when Madden 12 comes out and I can use my shiny coupon to trade in NCAA 12 for $30.

Look, for everyone that thinks this patch will drop soon or even before the end of August.

We have a snippet
Quote:
The patch is currently on schedule to release before the end of the month, no exact date, as of yet.
from Ben Haumiller(sp?)... that says nothing of 'real' use.

CURRENTLY ON SCHEDULE (that means at that point in time, it is/was on schedule for a release in August, that does not mean that it will. It could have been pushed back to add more in or something else, no one knows but EA and we know they don't forward information all that well to their consumers)

Now it may drop in August, it may not, we don't know until we are given some more info.

It probably all depends on how fast it can go through the certification process(and how back-up MS/Sony may or may not be) and whether or not it has to be resubmitted for any reason. that is why no exact time range can be stated, because they don't even know.

This is all true and is in addition to what I said above. EA never said that the patch was done. Only that it was "currently on schedule" which does not mean that it was finished in time for a "August" release.

The fact that college football may be kicking off before we can start our dynasties is... ugh. I dunno.

EA is so lucky I love college football the way I do, and for that matter, all of us do. It's like they take advantage of that fact. Or count on it. Whichever is less offensive because I do still love this game.
