120 Strategies - A Collaborative Guide to every team
Hey, this is actually my first post, but I think a cool idea is a strategy guide for one of every team, possibly by a fan of said team, of strengths and weaknesses. I'll start with my favorite team.
TEXAS TECH
Texas Tech's offense is great for beginners that aren't so good at running the ball-because the entire playbook relies on the pass. You may only get to see the Running Back with the ball a few times in the game.
The trick with their offense is the Mesh offense, which spreads out receivers in slant routes with the RB as a "security blanket" if nobody is open. Their RB is quite fast, so he doubles as a scat back. Last year, Tech lost Potts and Sheffield, meaning this year, they are not as good in the passing game. You get a Junior QB at 79 overall, that's it. He's good, but you'll need another if you use them in dynasty. As a fun fact, around Season 2 or 3 your 2 other QBs in the depth chart will be the same overall, one is a pocket passer and the other a scrambler. The biggest part of Tech's offense, however, is their Wide Receivers. They have a 91 and an 89 OVR receiver, the 89 is also a Junior. Either one is a great target. Their O-Line is also superb, a good mix of high 80s and Juniors and Seniors.
The defense is a different story. Tech has never been known for defense, but this one looks like the best in a while. The CBs are better than usual, though that is not much. The D-Line and Linebackers are absolutely atrocious, you'll need to get new ones in Dynasty. The better part, though, are their safeties. An 89 Rated Junior strong safety (which becomes 95 at his prime), and an 85 Rated SOPHOMORE Free Safety (also becomes 95 at his prime). You'll use both for a LONG time. You can use them to compensate for their Linebackers and DLine by blitzing.
