Another sho0rt critique about the crowds: I'm as big a college football fan as you will find. One thing you have to understand about crowds is that certain teams will have huge crowds whether they play well or not. Texas stunk up the joint last year and they still averaged over 100,000 per game. Same deal for Michigan in lean years.

Referring to my earlier comment, you will never see less than 90,000 at a Michigan game, even if they won only 1 or 2 games all season. But in the video game, you would probably see a major hit in overall attendance if they were to post a record that bad in the game. It just wouldn't be consistent with real life. The only thing that DOES remain consistent with ANY team and ANY fanbase is, they will almost always leave if the team is down by a certain number of points with a certain amount of time left (i.e. 14 point deficit under 2 minutes to play). THAT is where EA can really make improvements. They peg crowd attendance to a certain number of points, disregarding the time left in the game and the situation. If you were down by 28, the crowd would leave whether it was the start of the second quarter or the final minute. What would make it realistic is having the crowd leave BEFORE that magical point total is scored, but appropriately also AFTER the game's outcome has already been sealed.

And one last thing, kind of unrelated, but I believe bands are in this year, correct? So if someone could confirm/deny Notre Dame's band being on the field and NOT in the stands, that would be huge for me.

Re: NCAA Football 12 Live Stream Available Now (IGN)

My biggest beef is seeing a lack of player momentum. You can jam on the left stick and shoot sideways with almost no penalty in speed or acceleration. It seems every player has the ability to change direction very quickly and get back to top speed in less than a second. I don't have a problem with super quick players doing that but even the big RBs can do it. It's not right. The PS2 did this a lot better and it's always been a sore spot for me on the PS3.

Tackles looked better to me but I still saw a few times where players would be locked out of an animation.

Also I dont think file size is a legit excuse players are just text input those text lines lead to the graphical part that is in there if you have 11 players per team.

85 man rosters would NOT add that much space to the disk.

My thoughts exactly. I was so happy to see the tailback run in a direction without spazzing out while deciding to run either inside or outside.

I think what would really help this game (in terms of visuals and fluidity) would be moving the game speed setting to slow instead of normal. Just my opinion, of course.

Great looking game. HD feed was much better than the first feed one I watched. That was borderline Tecmo Bowl definition.

My guess is the demo will drop June 21. I think it came out one month before the release date last year.

Commentary sounded the same as last year. Presentation?? Only thing I see is different entrances. After that, what?

Ah well. I guess I'm officially reaching the end of my PS3 sports gaming days. Nothing's exciting me anymore. Age perhaps, (43), but I still used to get pumped for new games. Not so much anymore, especially when it seems to be the same ole, same ole with dreads and nice graphics.

I know, I know----"dude, it's only May!! This could've been a Beta!" yeah, I've heard that before..

Meh.
Im pretty sure they weren't going to blast the TV because the mic had to pick up their voices and it was a Q&A mostly. Yeah we would love to hear the game more but its hard to judge based off the video where the tv sound wasnt loud enough to go over them speaking.

As far as beta and stuff goes, there is going to be one more community day at the end of May( according to one of the articles based off the last community day held but i cant remember which one said it) where they will take more input and then close out the game before taking it to e3. So technically its still not finished but whats not finished is unknown to us. Im pretty sure commentary wont be completely revamped but since they talked about Nesler coming in im sure there's some new stuff added in and possibly something taken out.

I agree with Rudy on momentum, love last gen momentum system. I really wish we could get a realistic DE pash rush. It is frustrating to see DE and OT kind play chest bump patty cake. I also think QB animations need some work. Game had some good looking parts, I just hope dynasty mode has a great impact because my first reaction of the video was little disappointing. I must admit when I saw the first screen shots and the first details hit I was very excited. After that video I hope the demo plays a real good game.

EA is always half assing. The presentation was pretty weak unless the version they were playing didn’t include all the cut scenes and stat overlays. I saw nothing from the sidelines or coach interactions. As for the FSU entrance, why not have the players around the Chief at mid field like real life. It was like there was no one else on the field but him on renegade. Also who cares if Tennesee touches a "T" in the tunnel? We want to see them run thru the "T" on the filed & I bet thats not in....Still no chain gangs but we get living pylons? SMH...

Commentary is still the exact same as years before. Just horrible and boring. I can’t stand when there are quite moments between plays. That never happens.... Add something!!! I guess it’s up to us to add what we can thru customizing the sounds.

These guys can’t be real football fans…You can YouTube and copy these concepts…

As for the game play, the only thing I can say is its been tweaked but doesn’t really standout has a huge upgrade. Tackling is better, Coverage is better in zones but that’s about all I seen.

All that aside the game is gorgeous though… I think we knew this already but it still seems bland and missing authenticity all around..

After watchin this High Def I must say its better improved but the only thing I dont understand is why can you add and do more to a football game with ps2 and xbox, they come out with a better and higher advanced systems but can progress a little bit on a game only year after year. All EA have to do is put back some of the old things and features that people want to see from past ncaa football games with a few adjustments and new features added to the game. Still going to buy the game though.
