Had to start a discussion, I've been waiting on this for years. I can't count how many hours I've spend trying to pick a playbook, only to have it just barely not suit me, no more!

How many formations do you think we can have?

Do you think everyone will end up with similar playbooks because of this?

I think it's already been announced that one can have at-max 40 "sets" and at-max 400 plays. A set being something like "I Form - Normal" or "I Form - Twins".

Personally I think those numbers are plenty.

Do you mean 75 we can customize?

But I'm wondering how many Formations you can have in an individual playbook. I think back in 06' or whenever the last time custom PBs were available, you could have something like 10. For example, 3 Ace, 2 I and 5 Shotgun to make 10 different formations.

Has this been announced?

there was a short clip showing custom playbooks in an interview video(interviewing some of the NFL draft candidates).

at one point it showed that you can select up to 40 formations and 377 plays in a single playbook, and at another point 30 formations and 400 plays in a single playbook. So it looks like it may vary depending on how you set it up. It also showed that you could make an Offensive and Defensive playbook.
nothing from EA has been posted or shown though.

That's sweet, so it seems that it's more on an amount of plays rather than formations really. That's going to be fun creating a perfect playbook for your style.
