All of this pregame presentation is nice. But like others have said, after the 20th time, will you still let it play through? You guys are getting too hyped. I have a gut feeling that the in game presentation will be the same stale presentation. Hope I'm wrong though. Also, I'm not seeing this new tackling system.

EA knows how to put together a Sizzle trailer, that is for sure.

For those of us into the "Immersion" thing, this is looking incredible. I may bypass some cut-scenes in the middle of a game, but I always like a good intro.....helps set the mood. I can watch it over and over and over. And I admit to being shallow, and will likley select my team based upon the pregame....Colorado being in the driver's seat at the moment for that distinction.

Of course no doubt and unquestionably the graphics looks AMAZING as they always do. I seen some improved animations as far as how fluid they look... but the major issue i see STILL is lack of double hit tackling. Every tackle was a single man tackle. Thats a negative, but the presentation and graphics looks very VERY nice

So I'm lead to believe that they just can't do it with the tech both Madden and NCAA uses.

So now with the "all new tackling system" you have to ask yourself why the defender stutters there and holds off on engaging. It wouldn't have been a late hit. There was still time for him to help on the tackle. The highlights we saw in this video shows one on one type stuff, and that is a concern for those who are hoping that this will be the year they make the leap to multiple defenders in on a tackle.

I do know that what the main goal of this video was to highlight the school specific intros etc., so there's hope we may see something different in future specific videos that deal with tackling and other gameplay mechanics.
I completely agree Dave. The video looks fantastic and truly shows that the presentation is seeing a improvement. Plus the graphic improvements are jaw dropping, the 3D grass is BADASS!!! But I also have several issues with the video and direction of franchise.

1) No real time presentation like NBA 2k11. This is huge because after you play through 2 or 3 seasons, you have seen all the entrances many times and will skip through them to get to the meat and potatoes of the game....THE GAMEPLAY. So having pre-rendered entrances and such is nice, but real time camera work for presentation would of be HUGE in making every camera cut away draw you in that the action is happening on the field and not a standard cut scene.

2) Multiple hit tackles are a absolute must. It is by far one of the biggest "wants" by the consumers and I would believe would have been high on EA's to do list. So if they are not in, I highly suspect it is due to engine constraints. Lets all hope they can get them in, because it has been shown the old PS2 engine has multiple hit tackles.

3) Tackles......Tackles.....Tackles. I sure hope they have way more "wrap up" tackles. You see these big shoulder tackles but far more often in football are guys hitting square in the middle of the chest with the arms coming around to wrap up. Seeing defenders constantly go for these big shoulder hits just looks "gamey".

To wrap up my feelings is like this. I LOVE this video and the presentation looks great, the graphics look amazing, and the level of detail to so many areas is truly impressive. But at the end of the day I think the gameplay will be the #1 most important part of the game. The "jerseys" being right, correct entrances, #9 wearing wrong cleats, etc etc will all fade and will turn less important if the gameplay does not improve.

Important!!
1)So I hope the passing engine from both the offensive and defensive side of the ball improve greatly. No longer should defenders break on the ball when I press the pass button if they are running with their back to the QB. They should have to acquire the football by sight. The same should happen for the WR's, if you are forced to get rid of the ball early and the WR is still looking down field he should not break automatically because you pressed the button for the ball. This hurts immersion and gameplay.

2) Multiple hit tackles. This is KEY!!! Defenders should not do that akward falling animation and stutter step as Dave touched on. They should be able to come in and finish a ball carrier. It will help gameplay and specifically the run game. It is not a true game killer if it is not in, but will continue to make the series look substandard to its past PS2 iterations.

3) BLOCKING!!! We have to see a more natural flow to the blocking engine. I can't count how many times last night when I was playing how often the blocking just seems completely RANDOM. One moment my RT is completely man handling a DE all play brick walling him to the ground, then boom next play the DE turns into Reggie White and blows past my guy the instant the ball is snapped or another good example is when you are running the ball with your running back. I am scare to run towards my blockers because you know at any point the defenseman will beat your blocker. It is not "what happens" that is the issue it is "HOW it happens". The blocking engine just does not seem to have the correct weight and momentum flow to it. Defenders don't beat blockers by going around them, all blocking is almost a stand still block with very little side to side battling. Then out of no where the defender just beats the blocker with ZERO lateral movement. It just looks really wrong and not natural at all. I hope this is fixed to a degree, because last night I was getting so frustrated.

One thing I caught was different running styles. if you look at how the clemson rb is carrying the ball high and tight at 1:08 after he breaks the tackle, it is a different ball carry animation from the other rb's in the video.

Possibly we can choose different running styles? And I reaaaaally hope we have different passing animations to select like madden has had the last 2 years
