Realignment

Now i don't post much on here but am always looking at everyone else's opinions, strats, etc...

Now I'm looking for you thoughts and input.

With Utah & Colorado moving to the Pac-10 next year and Nebraska moving to the Big Ten, I'm trying to get them into those conferences this year. Instead of waiting until NCAA 12.

Since we can't just put them into their respective "new" conferences. What Teams do you think are best to switch out?

I usually run my Dynasty with Iowa so taking Minnesota out of the Big Ten isn't good for Rivalries. I have no bias at all towards the pac 10.

Lets hear some ideas.

Re: Realignment

I have no clue how that works but I'm hoping since there will be multiple conference changes in the years to come that NCAA football gives us a very flexible conference feature that allows us to completetly customize the conference. I don't want to swap one team for another...where does that swapped team go? I mean be able to just add Colorado and Utah to the pac 10 and leave the Big 12 as it is, etc...

Re: Realignment

it would ben ice to take one team and plop them into another conference. but as of right now. i would have to swap minnesota, or northwestern or whichever team i choose and send them to the big 12 in exchange for Nebraska.

i would really love them to put that feature in.

Re: Realignment

For the Big10 (I use Michigan) I swapped the Big10 and Big12 conferences and left Nebraska in the Big12 (of course). Now I have all of the teams that're supposed to be in the "Big 10" and have a conference championship game.

PROS:
CCG
Correct teams for Big 10
CCG!

CONS:
Big12 is a weaker conference than Big10 so all B10 teams have to eat that in recruiting (and conference strength never changes).
Because B12 is weaker conference, it seems to hurt those teams (IE. Michigan, aOSU, PSU) in the BCS poll as the game seems to use conference strength to break ties.
CCG is played down south, but it's in a dome so you can't see the weather.
No more Rose Bowl for B10 teams as we play in the Fiesta Bowl.

I'm in year 2017 or 18 and I'm soooooooo glad that I swapped the B10 and B12 teams.

Re: Realignment

i did some major re-alignment in my OD i moved big ten into the big 12 so i would have correct big 10, i moved the 10 surviving big 12 teams into the pac-10 and moved the pac-10 to the big 10 which allowed me choose to add either colorado or utah, i chose colorado, i also then moved Boise St into the MWC in place of BYU, just wish i could get BYU to independant but i don't want to throw a Service Academy into the WAC. as i said quite extensive in the moves but its worked out so far in my OD. made for some interesing match ups

Re: Realignment

I did a realignment but didn't want to switch conferences so I did the following...

Utah and Colorado into the Pac-10
Arizona, Arizona State, and Army into the WAC
Boise, Fresno State, and Nevada into the Mountain West
BYU into independent
Illinois and Wyoming into the Big 12
Nebraska into the Big Ten

The only one that seems a little odd is Army in the WAC, but I didn't want to disrupt anything else.

Re: Realignment

I pretty much stuck with Bullet's but I add Notre dame to the Big East along with some other changes which I'd reather not get into bringing Army back to independency. I just would like some suggestions on teams that could possibly make a move to the SEC and ACC. Any ideas?
