Conference Invites

I started a dynasty with a cupcake teambuilder team and am in my third year as an independent. I was wondering if I could accept an invite to maybe the MAC or C-USA, a lower-tier conference, and then only stay a year and jump to the SEC if I win the conference I join? So my questions really is how long do you have to wait between conference invites?

Re: Conference Invites

I'm in my 8th year with San Diego State, and I've won four or five consecutive conference titles and just finished a season undefeated and ranked #5 and I still haven't got an invite out of the Mountain West

Re: Conference Invites

Is San Diego State good team for dynasty for both NCAA 2010 and NCAA 2011 or just NCAA 2011?

Re: Conference Invites

Conference invites could come at any point and time im pretty sure there's no science for it but there are ways to improve your chances, lets say your cupcakes want to play in the SEC well you need to try and pick on the worst school in the SEC play them every year make sure you beat them of course.

Here's a big problem you might run into especially if you get an invite into the SEC, your cupcakes may not be ready for the beastly SEC schedule there for you could lose a lot, i would make sure there improved before you make that move.

Re: Conference Invites

I've won three straight national champions with Southern Miss, beaten countless teams from bigger conferences and yet no invites. I'd say the logic behind getting an invite really sucks

Re: Conference Invites

One Dynasty, with Syracuse, won 11+ games in three straight seasons, never played for NC, but won BCS bowl. Invite to ACC in place of Duke.

Another, with Buffalo, after second season (13-0 with win against Boise in BCS bowl), invite to ACC in place of Duke also.

As Mid Tenn St., after 5 years of 9+ wins, won two straight BCS bowls and finished in top ten in years 4 and 5, invited to SEC in place of Vandy.

And finally, with North Texas, after 3 years of 10+ wins and no BCS bowls, invited to Big 12 in place of Iowa St.

I think the logic has as much to do with the most recent season AND the poor performance of a bad team in the conference making the invite.

Re: Conference Invites

The invites have a lot to do with your team's prestige level versus the prestige level of the worst teams in the conference inviting you.

The reason you scheduled the worst teams in the conference you're trying to move up to is because beating them is a piece just your part of trying to reduce their prestige.

You also need to be regional... Florida International can never get invited to the Pac-10, for instance.

Re: Conference Invites

Is Maryland a good team to use for entering all champion in each conference?
