Better Game for the Franchise Player?
So last year I purchased both NCAA football 10 and Madden NFL 10, thinking it would be really cool to have both games and then do the import draft class thing. However, I soon realized that I didn't have the time to play through multiple seasons on both games to really make use of the compatibility between the two games.
After playing both titles, I quickly realized that Madden had the advantage in terms of gameplay, but the franchise mode in NCAA kept me coming back for more. At least to me, it is just so much more satisfying to recruit players for your team. I also like the fact that players in college football only get four playing years max, so you're constantly scrambling to redesign your team, while in the NFL you can leave your core group of guys intact for virtually a decade.
I just hope that after the updates and adjustments made to this year's NCAA, franchise mode will be able to shine once again. From what I have already read, it seems as though they have already resolved a great amount of the progression problems. Hopefully they are able to fix the rest.
