How to turn off that annoying band sound????

Whenever the away teams get a first down the band starts playing like a stupid drumline song, it's awful and annoying and ruins everything for me I'm sorry.

what can i do besides muting the whole damn TV??

Nothing, at least nothing I know of. Sorry, but it's part of the college football atmosphere. Have you ever been to a high school football game? Bands play usually after EVERY down and sometimes throughout the whole game. Mostly the same for college. Personally, I enjoy it.

wow thats college football the atmoshphere... thats why its better then the NFL (thats what i think anyway)

It's not even the entire band though it's just the percussion and it's extremely grating. I understand that's it's part of the atmosphere but the percussion plays after every single first down, every single stop on 3rd down, every single INT, every single TD. I wouldn't mind it if there were like more than 2 drumlines that get played. And I am NOT saying that the band should not be in the game because the band truly makes the college football atmosphere. I am saying that they could mix up the drumlines or maybe just have the entire band play.

but in the incidents 99.9% it is ONLY drumlines playing for that part of the game. sorry NFLers thats the college game

but it sounds fake and stupid. i been to plenty of college games and never hear a band play like that.

I just wish you could hit pause and have it stop, like you can with custom stadium sounds. Played Virginia recently and they scored like 41 points on me - man that fight song is LONG and LAME. They score a TD, kick the XP, kickoff to me, and when I'm lining up on first down, it's STILL playing. Ahhh!!!

Also, the default band stuff should be tied to the menu music or something so that we can at least turn it down in the audio options. I like to play with the volume pretty well cranked sometimes, and anything that's not a custom sound is WAY too loud.
