thats what i said. UW is 6th at best in the pac10 and they are an 89? There is no way they should be higher than an 85

Of their 5 losses, only 3 were quite convincing (Oregon - who has since lost their star QB, Oregon St, and Stanford - both of whom have been consistently solid as of late). USC is on the ropes (and they beat USC last year). They lost @UCLA by 1 point and lost @Arizona St by one TD. I'm not necessarily a Pac 10 guy, but in my opinion based on what I saw last season, I think the only teams I'd pencil into the top of the Pac 10 are Stanford, Oregon St, and Oregon. I think Washington has just as good a shot as any of the remaining teams - especially with Locker having a full year now to get Sarkisian's system down. What do you think?
they finished 7th in the conference last year. And this year projects

Oregon State
USC
Oregon
Arizona
Stanford
Cal
are all better than washington.
Not to mention ASU should be better UCLA too.
Washington is going to have to fight to finish 6th.

Washington isnt that good.. they dont deserve an 89, 85 tops

Nebraska's offense is rated at 92. Really? Considering how bad the offense was last year I would not have expected a rating this high.

[quote=jolson88;2041194942]Okay, I'm an Oregon/Oregon State guy and I'm a little bit surprised about a #4 rating for the Ducks. But that may just be me.

Im a big duck fan, and i was a bit surprised too. I don't really get how USC has a better rating than we do though at a 92 OVR.

probably has a lot to do with hype, with a big name coach and returning starting QB. not to mention the Ducks QB was dismissed from the team.

Funny he was ranked higher than AJ Green and Michael Floyd coming into college, both those guys have been miles better than him in their careers.
not really..... did you see the SEC chmpionship game last year? How about the Iron Bowl? Plus, Jones suffered ankle injuries last year, but they didn't make a big deal of it. It did slow him down, however. I'm looking foreward to him playing MUCH more productively next year.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Video: "Preliminary" Dynasty Team Ratings

Ugh, all this anti-Bama talk is really annoying to me. Before anyone calls me a Bammer Homer or anything like that I am actually a current student at UA and have been a life-long fan and was actually at the game in Pasadena.

Alabama's offense is loaded this year, there really aren't many problems or even question marks on that side of the ball. Julio Jones finally has had a healthy off-season to go through summer work outs so expect him to have a breakout year.

On defense, it always annoys me when people say that we (I go to school here, so is it ok for me to say "we"?) only have one starter returning when there were so many players last year that got meaningful playing time in the front 7 last year. So there are a lot less question marks than people say. The biggest problem on defense will likely be the secondary.

I don't really think Alabama deserves 99s on everything, but I'm glad that they are actually decently rated this year. Last year's game, even though we were the #6 team, I simmed some seasons for a Madden season and Alabama always lost at least 3 games.

So basically, I do think Alabama should have above 90 for each stat, and I think that at least most of us can agree that Alabama should probably be the best team on the game. Oh well, I guess we'll see when the season starts.

EDIT: I also have a question for you guys. Do you think EA tends to take what they (and usually everyone else) assumes to be the best team in the upcoming season and rate them 99 overall and then rate every other team in comparison? It almost seems that way, at least in the last two installments. They made UGA A+ OVR in 2009 and Florida A+ OVR in 2010. I'm not saying I agree with this, but it would be one way to kind of explain why those two teams (as well as Alabama this year) seem to be numerically rated incorrectly.

USC should be down to 4* or 5* ....... not at a 6*.
