Potentially simming a dynasty of NCAA 11 pre-release

Hey fellas. Every year I get my hands on NCAA and Madden a week early. Last year, I made a thread for a simmed Madden franchise following my attempt at rebuilding the Detroit Lions. The thread can be found here: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ogression.html I tracked progression, drafts, stats, trades etc. I was overwhelmed at amount of followers the franchise attracted. Endless people have told me it was a fantastic way to feed the anxiousness associated with that final week leading up to release. I've decided to do the same for Madden again this year.

That being said, I thought I might run the idea of possible doing the same for NCAA 11. What do you guys think? Is that something you might be interested in?

List of potential teams:

ACC- North Carolina
The Tar Heels come into the 2010 campaign with an extremely athletic and talented defense. Questions at quarterback remain, however. Can Butch finally take that next step with the Heels and deliver a conference title? Moreover, how many of these talented defensive players will leave after year 1? Do the Heels have enough depth to sustain themselves?

Big 10-Purdue
Purdue’s coach Danny Hope looks to resurrect what appears to be a withering program. Hope will continue to look to expand his recruiting pipelines into the state of Florida, where much of the talent exists. Purdue will have to play solid defense and run the ball effectively if they wish to compete in 2010. The aerial attack is nothing short of pathetic.

Big 12-Nebraska
A storied program that looks to be in position to solidify themselves yet again as the class of the Big 12. The Cornhuskers lost 6 starters on defense, including #2 overall pick Ndamukon Suh. Questions linger about who can step up and fill the void left on this side of the ball. Can they survive in the pass happy Big 12 without a solid passing attack? Additionally, will the success of Suh tempt more prep stars to call Lincoln their home?

Big East-South Florida
New Coach Skip Holtz and the Bulls will have to overcome huge losses on defense to be successful in 2010. With the departure of George Selvie and Jason Pierre Paul, Holtz will have to get creative with blitzing schemes in order to establish pressure on opposing quarterbacks. On offense, the dynamic B.J. Daniels leads what should be a versatile and playmaking offense. Daniels needs to improve on his accuracy if he wishes to take the Bulls to a conference title. It will be interesting to see if Holtz can establish himself on the recruiting trail and compete with the likes of Urban Meyer, Jimbo Fisher, and Randy Shannon.

Pac 10-Stanford
Led by arguably the best quarterback in the country, Andrew Luck, the Cardinal are poised for a run at the Pac 10 title in 2010. The loss of star running back Toby Gerhardt puts the pressure squarely on the shoulders of Luck, who is more than capable of compensating for that loss. Stepfan Johnson should see a lot of action in the 2010 campaign, and he seems as if he could have a breakout year behind a veteran offensive line. The defense lost 6 starters, however, and it will be interesting to see how Harbough addresses those needs through recruiting.

SEC-South Carolina
Stephen Garcia and company have certainly circled November 13^th on their calendars, as they head to the swamp and try to atone for an embarrassing 2009 result. South Carolina’s success solely depends on the development of Garcia, and it’ll be interesting to see how he responds to increased expectations. The anxiety in Columbia is palpable. The Gamecocks need to start winning soon if they intend on landing some of the blue chippers from the Carolinas.

WAC: Boise State
The Broncos should be nothing short of dominant in the 2010 season. Only losing 1 starter (Kyle Wilson), Kellen Moore and company look to run the table yet again. With Virginia Tech on their slate, one has to wonder if this is the year they can make it to the National Championship? It will be interesting to see how the Broncos can establish themselves in recruiting. Not traditionally a draw for 5 or4 star talent, Boise State has relied more on development and teamwork more than raw talent. With sustained success, Coach Chris Peterson will look to draw higher profiled prep stars in the coming years.

Independent: Notre Dame
Ah, where to start with this squad? New regime, new offense, and a new man under center. Can Dayne Christ fill the LARGE shoes of Jimmy Clausen? Brian Kelly has proven he can put up points. With Kyle Rudolph and Michael Floyd returning, the passing attack should be steller. The two questions that linger (and always seem to in South Bend) are can the Irish run the ball and play defense? I guess we’ll find out soon enough. Kelly will be under immense pressure from the get go, as Irish faithful are sick and tired of mediocrity. Adding speed on defense is likely to be a priority in recruiting.

Haha, that would be the next issue. Choosing a team. Maybe I can pick some teams and have a poll picking my team. That's what I planned on doing with Madden this year.

I mean I COULD suggest using Oklahoma and I also COULD suggest using Buffalo.
