Actually, thats so, this gen, lol. Last gen there wasn't really any skating. Players felt more grounded last gen, had more of a feeling of weight to em.

You missed the point..

In real life, the DE wont wait until he is engaged, before trying beat the LT. If he did that in real life, he loses.

The DE isnt taking an angle at the OL, he doesnt go outside shoulder, he doesnt try to dip inside, he just goes straight, engages, then tries to beat the OL.

What this means is another year of guys just bolting out of the pocket and skating outside of edge rushers, and OLB blitzes like theiy arent there.

Why do you think that the only blitzes people run in this game are A-Gap nano's and corner blitzes? LOL.

I echo sportguy's post...the only blitzes that usually work in the game are CB or outside safety blitzes. Most of the other blitzes by anyone rather than a DB almost never work.

To buckeyes787: A Swim move is when you go over the top with your arm and a rip move is when you go under and rip your arm through like they try to displayed in the video.... For an OL to get beat with that weak rip move that was displayed is unrealistic. If it was a real game the coach would bench his *** for getting beat like that.

The game is, and should be deeper than just running and tackling. Everyone who knows football knows that the game is won and lost in the trenches and it should be just as important to get these details right as much as they TRY, but not succeed, to get the running and tackling details right.

As far as WR #82 running that route you've gotta pay attention to how recievers run routes. First of all if a reciever ran a route in an upright position like that he would probably blow his ACL. It's very predictable he doesn't even drop his hips, just turns and runs an out. If a good DB was covering that route than that's a pick 6!

EA's not doing the job that they're capable of doing because they've been at it for so long without any significant change. That's why these forums are so negative and rightfully so...... without criticism these developers will assume that they've arrived and keep feeding us crap. Tech is always progressing in vast ways so why does EA always seem to regress. They owe you, me, and the rest of the public the best and most realistic game ever......They're long overdue!

True!!!! EA should get former collegiate athletes from all positions to do there motion capture. From there, they need to put together a live scrimage with all positions covered. This would give them the most accurate representation of football rather than a couple of overweight developers trying to sprint! To me that seems like the most common sense solution to this problem.
