Scratched disk question

This is probably not the place to ask this but OP is the only place I go to for sports gaming info. My friend has a scratched NCAA 10 disk. If I install my game to his hard drive, what are the chances the game will boot from his disk?

Thanks

Re: Scratched disk question

I had to install it to my hard drive and since then I havent had a single problem. Before my xbox would always pop up with the dirty disc before I could even get to the main menu. Once I installed it to the hard drive I hardly ever hear it run off the disc.

Note: The xbox has to be able to read the disc during the install. I had to try to install several times because it kept stoping and saying it couldnt read the disc. But I finally got it to work.
