Conference Invites: BCS to BCS

Is it possible to get an invite to a BCS conference if you're already in a BCS conference? Like Florida State to the SEC?

Re: Conference Invites: BCS to BCS

I think only Big East teams can be invited to another BCS conference(in the game). I haven't done it, but that is what I've heard.

I believe that's correct (can only go from Big East to another BCS conference - not between any of the others). Not sure why they'd put the restriction in...

Okay cool. And I have another question. If I'm controlling one team but another team from a non-AQ conference or the Big East starts to do really good, if I create a new coach and make that team user controlled after the bowl games can they can get a conference invite? Then I would make that team cpu controlled again. I think it's dumb that only user controlled teams can switch conferences.

I don't think it's dumb. It used to allow AI teams to change leagues and it's annoying if you're playing and you want stuff to stay how you initially set it up, especially now that we have custom conferences.

So yeah, I will sometimes do that if I want a team to change conferences, though it doesn't always happen that year, I'll create a new coach just after they've won their bowl game and before the bowl season ends and see if they get moved out of their league.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't..but that's the best way to do it.

Cool. So do you ever try it with teams that have less than 6* prestige? Do you have better success if the team was in a BCS bowl? You said after their bowl but before all bowls are finished. What if they're in the NCG?

Because EA hates the Big East. Heck, in this years PS2 version winning the Big East doesn't even gaurantee you a BCS Bid. I wond in my 1st year and wound up in the Armed Forces Bowl (was 11-1 and ranked #9 before bowls)
