Pritchett is as versatile a player coming out of highschool this season, he has lead his WKH Bengals to the state playoffs.
He has some of the top schools recruiting him such as, Florida, Texas, Georgia, WVU, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee, and many others as he plays out his final four games as a senior in Highschool.

Re: Road to Glory Thread

Player Name: Joe Reyes #2
Position: QB
Height: 5'11
Weight: 185
Hometown: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Highschool: Xavier High School
Favorite College: Iowa Hawkeyes

Joe led his high school to the state playoffs as a senior, the first time since 1983. They were underdogs throughout the playoffs but Joe led them to victory and a state championship the first ever in school history. He was named player of the game all four games and playoff mvp.
He was the number 1 rated recruit and had offers from Oklahoma, Texas, USC, Florida, and many others. But he surprised everyone by choosing to head east to play at West Point for Army and coach Rich Ellerson. He loved the triple option they used and the challenge of how bad they were when he arrived, he was also guaranteed to be starting in week 1.
The Black Knights went undefeated with a weak schedule flying all the way up to #12 in the nation but were disappointed when they were only invited to the Eaglebank Bowl against Southern Mississippi. They defeated Southern Miss and were crowned Eaglebank Bowl Champs.
Reyes went on to win the Heisman, Maxwell, and Davey O'Brien awards with one of the greatest offenses in recent memories.

I'll post stats of the season that was known as the undefeated letdown.

Re: Road to Glory Thread

I like the Joe Reyes story man......Good one! Can't wait to hear more....This is nice when someone builds a story to a player they make and stands behind it.

Re: Road to Glory Thread

Player Name Jay Jelinek #43
Position RB
Height 6'2
Weight 200
Highschool Grand Forks, North Dakota
Favorite College Nebraska

In his senior year, Jay set the state record for rushing yards and led the state in total TDs in 2008. His record setting year was capped off with a state championship over Fargo 31-10. He was ranked among the best Halfbacks in the country and many schools offered him full scholarships, however he knew what his choice was right away in the Cornhusker State, at the University of Nebraska.
Jelinek went on to become Freshman of the Year and ranked 3rd in the country in rushing yards, and 2nd in touchdowns. Jay earned his starting spot early in the season and was 2nd team All American. The Huskers went 9-4, including the Big 12 title game that resulted in a monster loss to the Oklahoma Sooners, 45-17, which Jelinek scored 1 TD and ran for 97 yards on 19 carries. The Huskers went on to win their bowl game.
In 2010, Jelinek was already a 1st team preseason AA and some were speculating about his potential as a heisman candidate, even just being Sophomore. Nebraska was undefeated going into week 7, but midway through a tough battle Jelinek suffered an injury that would put the star HB out for 3 weeks. The game ended in victory, but also a loss. Jelinek's hopes of a Sophomore year heisman were dashed.
Still, the Huskers went on to lose only one game and earn the Big 12 title. They would play for the National Championship, but lost in a hard fought battle with LSU 27-21. Jelinek scored 2 TDs and ran for 127 yards against the Tigers.
His Junior year story has yet to be told...to be continued...
