IGN Insider NCAA 2004 update - my thougts.

conferences can now drop or add teams.


it's a cool idea, but i hope that option can be toggled on or off.

notre dame in the big ten or duke in the mac just wouldn't look right to me.

The upgrades sound like awesome additions to a game that was fantastic in 2003.

I have 2 concerns:
1. What are they going to botch? 2003 had so many great things, I hope none are lost in 2004.
2. I still have tons of trophies to get in the 2003 game.

I love all of the new features, but I'm worried that they might botch the whole switching conferences thing. Teams almost never get kicked out of conferences. If it happened more often, Northwestern would've been gone from the Big Ten decades ago, as would Vandy in the SEC. Hopefully, it doesn't happen to often. There still hasn't been word on roster size, but I'm excited about the game. I can't wait til July!

Actually, believe it or not, Nintendo already had this idea. The only football game they ever made, Super PlayAction Football did this back on the SNES. The gameplay sucked, but the presentation made that game fun. You could play high school seasons, college seasons, and pro seasons.

There was no licensing deal, but the college conferences were arranged correctly. At the bottom left of the interface, it would have a fake article with a headline like "Minnesota topples #4 Nebraska". The whole thing was laid out like a newspaper. It was SWEET.

Can't wait! Must have game now! Getting that anxious must find new info feeling! I am glad to see the school records and the all time records being added as well as the magaizne feature. I do hope that a few AI and gamepla issues are tweaked or more sliders added to get it to perfection! Looking good and I can't wait.
