the fix is the finished rosters che did for thegame that were mistakenly NOT shipped for print.

They are very tight from what my guy tells me, the dude is the best roster guy NCAA has seen.

Madden has the right to use real players. They have contract info and only 32 teams. NCAA has no player name rights, players only staying 3-5 years. They have mass amounts of change every year with 120 teams (hopefully more in the future) to update.

I, for one, can see how NCAA Rosters is a much more daunting task than Madden. An unfair comparison if you ask me.

They never said they had "2". They said they uploaded the WRONG set. Look, I don't mean this personally towards you, but people that have NO clue about software development need to settle down a bit.

I'll explain it one more time. It's called Software Version Control. What happens is the roster guy has the initial version of the rosters. He updates the roster, and saves it (or sometimes "checks it in"). The system creates a new version of the file(s), while saving the older versions. So now the system holds RosterFile.1 and RosterFile.2. This iterates and iterates, while the whole software package (what we know as NCAA 10) creates "stable baselines", which are when milestones in the program are met, and each part of the program gets delivered to this common baseline.

What can happen (and happens A LOT) is that the final baseline (the released version of the product) can get the wrong version of a file into the baseline. This is how this happens, and it isn't the roster's guy fault, Russ's fault, Adam's fault, or any combination of the above. It usually will fall on the Software Configuration Management group, and you're stuck with it.

I work for a large software corporation that is a contractor for the Department of Defense. It happens in our products, and these products are just a tad bit more important than a video game. It happens. They're fixing it, and that's the important thing.

If they don't patch the sliders along with this other crap, they just lost a sale. I've now completely lost faith in the NCAA dev team. Just beyond ticked right now. Time to go to bed.
