Gameplay/Animations changes
- Procedural Awareness - Cosmetically, a system that ensures that each player can realistically follow the ball, using the eyes, head, neck, and shoulders in a realistic manor. OS Thread

- Layered Blending/QB improvements - the blog talked about how it pertains to the QB position, but it's likely to help out other areas as well. this tech will help out in the animation department, allowing animations to "blend" better. this blog also talked about a few enhancements to the QB throws. the new QB ratings from this blog will not be in NCAA 10. OS Thread
*Added 4/29* Layer Animation - IGN Madden video, but this is also in NCAA 10.

- QB Auto-Throw(Coach Mode) - pretty self explanatory, this gives the Human team QB the ability to let the CPU throw the ball for him. there will be an on/off switch and it is off by default. this will help users that enjoy "coach mode" where they call the plays and let the CPU run the plays. this feature also works Online. OS Thread

- WR/DB Interactions - bunch of updates with WR/DBs. improvement to route running, Jostling, Press releases, and Procedural Awareness. the Defensive Assignments/Matchups feature from this blog will not be in NCAA 10. OS Thread

*Added 5/24* Blocking improvements part 2 - the run game - the blog talks about the new OL/DL interactions and how it pertains to the running game in Madden. this is also in NCAA 10.

*Added 5/28* Gameplanning - This feature is all about determining how aggressive, conservative, or balanced you want your team to play during certain situations. There are six defensive situations and five offensive situations you can adjust at any point during the game, based on your preferred strategy for that moment.

Defensive Keys - you'll be able to "guess" if the play will a run middle, left, right, or a pass. this also gives you an ability to "spotlight" or key a specific WR to help defend them. was briefly talked about in This video(around the 1:25 mark) Picture of Defensive Keys parts of this video

*Added 5/28* Set-up Plays - This feature allows you to run one play successfully in order to "setup" a variation of a similar play. this doesn't mean it'll work 100% of the time, just more likely chance that the defense will "bite" on the play. parts of this video talked about it

*Added 5/27* Band on the Field - hasn't been "Officially" announced yet, but have been videos and screenshots of them. OS Thread

EA started a "Band of the Day" Feature at the NCAA 10 site, so far these schools have been featured:
Ohio State
Texas
Houston
UCLA
Oklahoma State
Ohio
Boston College
Western Michigan
Middle Tennessee State
Georgia Tech
Virginia
Wake Forest
Iowa
Troy
Vanderbilt
Missouri
UL-Monroe
Indiana
Northern Illinois
Syracuse
Colorado
Arkansas

other info on the Bands:
quote from OMT(Adam Thompson) - ?I'd just like to point out that the band formations are not covered in our licensing agreement and we have to acquire the rights directly from the band to include the formation in the game. Not every school gave us permission, so unfortunately not every school will have authentic formations."

"These band formations should be pretty accurate. All the band directors use a software program called Pyware to design these formations. We were able to get this technology into the game code, so in order to add a formation to the game we just need the band director to send us their files.

So if what we have doesn't match exactly real life, then the real life band isn't following directions! "
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dynasty Changes/Additions
- Custom Conferences
- ESPN Article About Custom Conferences - now you have the ability to swap any team from one conference with any team in another conference. OS Thread

*Added 4/9* Online/Offline dynasty updates - video showing some improvements that has been done to dynasty mode. OS Thread

*Added 5/29* What's new in Dynasty(ESPN Article)

*last updated 5/14* some new/changed general dynasty info

General Changes
- new menus

- Sim Stats have been tuned

- player's "picture" have been changed pic

- WKU appears to be out of the Independent conference and in the Sunbelt like they should be for the 2009 season.

- still not able to be fired/hired in Online Dynasty. Source

*Added 5/14* - no conference invites in Online Dynasties. Source

- Poll logic has been improved. Source

- We revisited some of the simulation logic and now less teams are going undefeated. Source

Schedules Changes
- Additional Rotations for conferences that do not a true rotation (Pac-10 for example) now games will not be on the same date every year. For example Stanford - Cal will always be the last game of Pac-10 schedule but Stanford - Oregon will be different dates in future years of Dynasty.. Source 1 Source 2 Source 3

- all known future non-conference will be scheduled in the game. Source

- Big 12 schedule is now on a two year cycle. You play everyone in your division and then you play 3 teams from the other division for two years. In those two years you alternate between home and away. In years 3 and 4 it will switch to the other 3 teams in the other division (home and away). Source

- Big 10 will not have night games in November. This was a new rule put in this year. Source

- Arizona State always played Cal & Oregon State on the road in NCAA 09, this has been fixed. Source

- Big East Champ no longer tied to the Orange Bowl. Previously if you won the Big East you were forced to play in the Orange Bowl (unless playing for a National Title). Source

- BC and Georgia have been added as rivals for Clemson. FSU will remain as a rival as well to Clemson. Source

Recruiting/Player Changes
- player promises and players leaving bugs are fixed

- the call recruit screen has changed pic

- some recruits wont be available till off-season Russ explains

- you now can see how much interest is gained from each
"pitch"

- you can now recruit against another school, to lower the recruits interest in that school pic

- AI after filling all their needs will begin to target a specific position. In years past they would always go after QB's and FB's now in NCAA Football 10 the CPU will select different positions to attempt to add depth. Source

- CPU will be able to change players position when needed. example: if the backup RT is better than the starting LT, the CPU will change that RT backup to LT so he can start. the CPU posistion changes happens at the end of the off-season Source 1 Source 2

- Recruits will not come in as highly rated. Overall all recruits have been lowered in how high their Overall rating will be when they are created. Source Source 2 Source 3

- Recruits will take the quality of the school more into account when they are created. Location was too important when recruits were created in NCAA 09, going forward the quality of the school will be the most important factor. This also helps to slow down the growth of smaller schools when under CPU control. Source

- 40 times are more realistic - you will not see any recruits come in with a 4.19 time. Source

- work has been done to spread the recruits out between the varius positions. in '09 there were too many "skilled" position recruits Source

- ATH will now have more ratings to play different positions; the ratings have been redone to include attributes to make them true athletes. For example you'll find some ATH with Route Running and Man Coverage ratings that will allow you to place them at either WR or CB. Source

Progression
- With players coming in lower some stats will now progress faster. This also means ratings that did not progress in years past will now go up; for example Speed. Source

- Team Prestige is now a much bigger factor in Progression; the quality of your team will influence how fast your players gain attributes. Source

- Position Changes will no longer cause athletic attributes to go down (SPD, STR, ACC, etc.). When you move a player from WR to CB you will no longer see his speed drop. Source Source 2

Source

Great idea. Now we don't have to search all over the boards to see if an update was posted.

Re: NCAA 10 updated info

Jeez, I did this two months ago.

JK, I know it has been mentioned before. But the Ohio State pictures are obviously at two different times. So I guess we have progressive lighting? They wouldn't play two differnt games with the same two teams would they? For two pictures....

- Layered Blending - the new QB ratings will not be in NCAA 10.

- WR/DB interaction - the Defensive Assignments/Matchups feature will not be in NCAA 10.
Pathetic. Little bro NCAA still cant play with the big boys.

Its so dumb that these are not included.

Re: NCAA 10 updated info

Can we lock this thread so that only the threadstarter can post updates? No need for people to come in here to argue when there will be plenty of other places for that.
