I'm not totally happy with the gameplay, but I enjoy this game more than the previous two on this console generation by leaps and bounds.

I'm sorry you can't play the game. Very few people just can't play it, some people aren't happy with it, but most people like it. We get more feedback saying it is the best version of NCAA they have every played than we do about about people not liking it or worse.

Of course, as someone who doesn't like it, I'm sure that is hard for you to believe. But it is the truth. We have a wide audience of people to cater to, not just hardcore sports gamers.
While the game was geared towards the offense, i think it went a little extreme. I think the realism is lacking and we have a pseudo arcade pseudo realistic game. I think for next years game, you should refine this years versions with what the community and message boards have asked for and fix what you have before implementing other game changers. I think most of us want a game that plays like it does on Saturday. Do you see long punt returns? ABsolutely, but not on every punt (exaggerating for effect).

If EA wants to cater to the casual gamer, thats fine, but give us hardcore guys the options too. I think it can be achieved, but with an ear to the streets (as EA has been doing this year).

No disrespect meant here, just looking to have both sides win. I want my great offenses to play great, and my awesome D to play like they should too.......not that im a guru by any means, but I (as many others) would be happy to provide any insight, feedback or advice, via PM, community days, or what have you

Man TaterNuts is so passionate, I almost ..just kidding.

Adam, I did have a question in regards to one thing in the game that I kept forgetting to ask other times. Is it just me or do the players in this years version run as if they have no hip bones?

Anyone, any thoughts?

1. QB avoidance
2. Direct a receiver, when the QB is scrambling
3. D-Line moves, like a power rush or swim move while jumping the snap to get around OL. (maybe this is something that will be fixed with Patch #2)???
4. Celebrations, while running into the endzone, I push O and do the same move every time, is that the way its supposed to be. Also the celebrations, the light ones or heavy ones you could do after a big play and/or touchdown. I remember you would push says R2 for square to perform a celebration. And you had different ones for the cheerleaders, players, mascot, fans.
5. Also with the fans, why no more close up of the fans, dancing, leaving the game during a blowout, throwing up signs.....

I just wanted to say that I have played NCAA Football since 1999, and this is by far the best. Although, I would rather have to wait an extra 2 weeks or so for them to release the game, if that means that the patches to fix general gameplay were already included. It does not effect me, but not everyone has internet to this point, and it is not easy for them to access the patches. I agree with a lot of people on points they have already made including kick returns being too long too often. One of the only things I have always hoped for, and doubt I will ever get a chance to see, would be some Division II teams in the game, or in a second game. I would even be willing to pay extra money if it was just an add on, or something to that extent. I come from a DII conference that is one of the top in DII each year, and has had several draft picks/pro signees the past several years. I know a former Denver Bronco, Rod Smith, came from this conference many years ago! Enough of that, I suppose I will continue waiting to play this game until the first patch comes out at least as I do want to play with the rosters!

i agree, those were all really cool features, one more that i would like to see is some team specific intro's, notre dame's play like a champion... michigan's running out under the banner, etc. that would create the ultimate atmosphere, and perhaps better post game celebrations? plus i thought it was cool how in some of the ps2 versions when a players attributes would adjust in game based on his performance.

Adam,

Why can't we get a game(like we used to have) that caters to BOTH the real football fans as well the casual fan??? I see more money in that than the current pickle we are in. I am through with this game/series...I'm sure just one sale doesnt matter to you guys, but I know I'm not the only one.

And how can you say the issues in this game are a subjective judgement?Unblieveable....

I mean we all have our own opinion of what "real football" is, but I think 99% of people agree that a 95 rated DE, should be able to beat a 72 rated OL, not be knocked on his butt everytime. I think most will agree with QB shouldn't sit in the pocket for 10 secs before passing. I think most will agree that defenders should not run AWAY from the ball carrier.

And if all of what I just posted is NOT true, and truly subjective, then WHY did you guys make these corrections(and more) for Madden???

I forgot about those as well. I remember in 05/06 I think...the teams would run out of the tunnel, getting pumped up jumping around etc. What happened to that? Also in regards to the post game celebrations, they are non-existent now.

I did notice though, in regards to your "players attributes" comment, I have noticed that players do get better after a good game. I also just thought about impact players, I have had no one get "hot" in a game, is that still around?

yeah i've noticed that too, like when i throw a pick, i notice that my quarterback is significantly effected, i just wish there was a way to measure it again... i dunno, i'm not terribly disappointed with the gameplay, i just think it would be the difference between an okay game and a great game if it included the features we have listed.
