Bryan Clark is back today with the second edition of his Random Online Dynasty Thoughts for NCAA Football 09. Today Bryan focuses on the art of recruiting.

"It’s good to think of the recruiting process as a 400-meter race. It’s a sprint, but it’s not a full-out sprint. You have to get out of the blocks quickly, and not waste too much time moving back and forth between recruits in order to haul in a representative class of 20+ players. At the same time, it’s going to require some thought and you’re going to be recruiting against a much better brain trust than in the past, with 11 other humans (potentially) going against you. So it’s best not to think of the recruiting process as, “that annoying thing I have to get out of the way every week,” and really put some thought into it. Otherwise, all the promises in the world won’t make the recruits come to your side in the off-season."

recruiting battles against other humans is one of the main reasons online dynasties will be great, that and with multiples seasons(which kind of go together), seeing who is good in the long run. maybe someone will start out good, then have a few bad seasons, then rebuild and return to glory.

i can't wait for '09 to come out.

I can remember recruiting against my cousin with in-state rival schools and he'd recruit hard against me. I'd eventually give up on some so he could have them but he never returned the favor.

Reason NUMERO UNO why this game is going to rule all.

Honestly, sliders can fix any pass rush/pass defense issues. As long as the Super LB/DBs are gone, that's all I need to hear.

But beyond all that, having a dynasty with 7 other human players to coach/recruit/play against will give me all the challenge and fun I need.

Can't freaking wait.
